Poohniverse

So I just found out that there is a Poohniverse, also called Twisted Childhood. It’s that Winnie The Pooh Horror film franchise thing that started with Blood & Honey. They seem to be carrying on into Peter Pan, Mary Poppins and other such presumably now out of copyright concepts, turning fairy tale type tales into shlock horror.   

I’ve not seen any, not really my thing, and im not condemning that they exist either. Merely noting that my comedy childhood is affected here.  That Winnie The Pooh joke in Meltdown now feels like a forshadowing, and their next film is Bambi: The Reckoning. As a Young Ones Fan, feels to me like they could have just done Bambi goes crazy ape bonkers with his drill & sex.

I feel like, surely, five minutes of brainstorming could come up with several more interesting ideas of what to do with newly public domain IP than “yeah, yeah, yeah, so what if this but he kills people.”
