Ironically I taped it twice. Only meant to record the repeat, but I left the digibox on BBC2 rather than 4 on Friday…thus losing The IT Crowd.

It was a great show on Friday – one I saw recorded. Loads of wonderful moments and lines.

But I can’t quite shake the feeling that the series as a whole isn’t as good as last year’s (bar the first episode, which is the best one they’ve ever done). Which makes the critical acclaim Series 2 seems to be garnering from some people as “much better than last year’s” all the more bemusing.

Wait wait wait…so what did she say in the record that you saw?

I thought that scene was a bit overplayed. It could have been funny, and it would have been, but “my tits are hot” was repeated too much. Ditto the paging of Peter File in the airport in an earlier ep. Hilarious at first, slightly less funny the next time, and by the scene ends you’re basically just waiting for the next joke.

All of this is nit-picking, though, and I’ve really enjoyed series 2 so far. I’d say it’s a bit better than series 1, but it’s a slight gain. The dinner party episode is my favorite of either series so far. The work outing would probably come second.

NEVERMIND I’m a tard. The HISSING was dubbed…I thought you meant “my tits were on fire” was dubbed in that scene. Completely my fault. I hate me. You can hate me, too.
