My sister wants to see it as Gillian Jacobs from Community’s in it. Saw a trailer a couple of weeks ago, looked reasonably amusing. :)

I heard it was quite rubbish, but I’ll watch Steve Carell in basically anything so I’ll probably get the DVD.

Oh, really? Where did you heard that? It’s not HYSTERICALLY funny but by the end of the film I was pretty emotional. The premise is pretty bleak (the world is going to end in 21 days) but then again, it is in the same vein as Red Dwarf.

Gillian Jacobs is only in one scene but it is a funny one and there’s a total lezzing it up moment which the camera cuts away from. What more do you want?

Went to see it the other day, it was alright – very morbid at times, but I quite like that sort of thing. A couple of scenes were laugh out loud funny, and Steve Carell was great as usual. But Keira Knightley…she just gets on my nerves. It’s probably something to do with the manic eyes and the cut-glass accent, it’s like nails on a chalkboard.

I’m just saying howdo, first time but this topic is of interest as intend to see but on the red dwarf front I’ll refrain yet but the input you guys make on this fine forum is worth a shiteload more than any other site by far – so my home this feels and err, I love you guys x

I really liked it! I’m not big on romcoms, but it’s not really a romcom so I liked it. I’m not big on end-of-the-world movies, but it’s not really an end-of-the-world-movie so I liked it (well not in the sense of Armageddon, The Day after Tomorrow, etc).

It’s gotten pretty mixed reviews, but from them reviews I’ve seen, all the negative ones are people people expected it to be something else. If you go in knowing what to expect then you’ll really enjoy it.
