Scroll to bottom Viewing 2 posts - 1 through 2 (of 2 total) Author Posts October 30, 2019 at 11:54 pm #255436 WarbodogParticipant Since one unintentionally-leaked, illegible word from the Special script has sparked a bit of speculation and fanfic (it could just be more Timewave-style trolling from Doug), here’s what Smegazine writer/artist Nigel “Sonic the Comic” Kitching did with the Cat people idea in 1993, in case anyone hasn’t seen it before (and if I’m allowed to post these links): Lister the God (from archive.org scans) This was one of the better stories from the Smegazine [insert mandatory cheap shot remark]. Rooted in the world of the novels (Cloister/Clister schism), since series one was comparatively obscure and maybe even considered less ‘canon’ at the time, which is an interesting insight in itself. I mean, it’s just officially licensed fanfic from a self-described “fan writer,” but retro print Red Dwarf was an important part of the ’90s fan experience, so I like to commemorate it occasionally. Obsolete and mostly mediocre as it may have been (I still haven’t read Log No. 1996). Obviously they’d all have to die unceremoniously by the end, but still.
