Over on notable Doctor Who forum Gallifrey Base, somebody has taken delivery of their Series XI Blu-ray steelbook. The steelbook inadvertently has the titles and running order for Series XII listed on it, instead of Series XI’s. I am not making this up, I promise. Said user did provide the titles but I won’t reproduce them here (unless an admin says it’s fine). Feel a bit bad now as I was joking when I mentioned it being the series XII titles, thought it would just have been weird working titles for series XI in a random order. Hmm. I’ve started a thread on this here, but I won’t be posting titles either unless it’s allowed. Can’t have been the only one who got it so I’m sure it’ll all be out sooner or later. November 12, 2016 at 3:48 pm #218287 cwickhamParticipant FWIW, I’ve just had a read back of the set reports with this knowledge and I think I can now make a reasonable guess at the recording order… November 12, 2016 at 4:01 pm #218288 bloodtellerParticipant can you please post these titles somewhere other than Gallifrey Base? currently can’t access the site. cheers. November 12, 2016 at 4:04 pm #218289 Stephen AbootmanParticipant “The steelbook inadvertently has the titles and running order for Series XII listed on it, instead of Series XI’s” Not enough Picard faceplam memes on the internet to cover this. Have they at least managed to avoid putting the episodes on there as well? November 12, 2016 at 4:27 pm #218292 (deleted)Participant If it is true, and I’m sceptical of this whole thing, then that’s surely publically released information. It’s not like an unlinked website going online, they’ve printed it on card and sent it to people’s houses and town centres country-wide. There comes a point where being a Red Dwarf fan honestly trying to follow GNP’s PR intentions in spite of their actions forces you into an exhausting roleplay reenactment of the complete Thick Of It box set, and if this is true (and though believable I’m still not sure it is), then that’s surely the threshold when no sane person would expect anyone to pretend that this hasn’t happened for three quarters of a year, and then feign theatrical surprise when the titles are announced next summer. November 12, 2016 at 4:30 pm #218293 cwickhamParticipant I’ve seen the titles themselves, and I can identify the one I was in the audience for, and looking at the set reports I can see details that leads me to work out which title was which recording, and this was posted by a reliable user I have no reason to distrust. But I’ll await the official go-ahead (or not-go-ahead) from an admin before posting them here. November 12, 2016 at 4:34 pm #218294 Stephen AbootmanParticipant Agree with Darrell tbh, trying to keep it quiet for the best part of a year seems a bit daft. Besides, Doug could always decide to change things in that time. November 12, 2016 at 4:37 pm #218296 (deleted)Participant Oh my god… it’s real isn’t it. It’s the punchline to a three month long joke. November 12, 2016 at 4:47 pm #218297 flanl3Participant Why do problems like this happen every time a small company tries to manage two big things at once? November 12, 2016 at 4:48 pm #218298 flanl3Participant Well, I mean, that’s a lovely innuendo, but seriously. November 12, 2016 at 4:58 pm #218299 International DebrisParticipant What November 12, 2016 at 5:00 pm #218300 JamesTCParticipant *spoilers* 1. The One Doug Mentioned at Dimension Jump 2. Forwards Backwards 3. Polymorph Resurrection 4. Taiwantica Tony 5. Dear Dave Remastered 6. The Middle November 12, 2016 at 5:06 pm #218301 neildoParticipant I can understand the scepticism, but it’s really true and I can’t be the only person who’s received it/going to receive it imminently. I could post them here straightaway but I just want to hear if it’s ok from a G&T person first? November 12, 2016 at 5:08 pm #218303 International DebrisParticipant I don’t envy Ian at the moment. He’s the only admin here. I wouldn’t like to be in charge of deciding what the fuck to do. If you do post them, can you post a picture? November 12, 2016 at 5:09 pm #218304 Ian SymesKeymaster Hello! Sorry, I was playing FIFA. Fuck it, post away. November 12, 2016 at 5:16 pm #218306 cwickhamParticipant Righty-ho. 1. HERE NO EVIL 2. M-CORP 3. SILICONIA 4. TIME WAVE 5. MECHOCRACY 6. STAR KNOT November 12, 2016 at 5:20 pm #218307 Ian SymesKeymaster This has rather caught me off guard, as you can probably tell from my various posts in various threads, but this can’t possibly be ignored. Front paging it now. A huge thank you to everyone who respected the spoiler policy and waited patiently for one of us admins to wake up. November 12, 2016 at 5:21 pm #218308 flanl3Participant WHAT ARE THOOOOOOSE? Actually though, they feel slightly off for RD episode titles. Something’s fishy about them. November 12, 2016 at 5:23 pm #218310 Stephen AbootmanParticipant Has Siliconia got anything to do with being stuck opposite Brigitte Nielsen in a packed lift? November 12, 2016 at 5:24 pm #218311 flanl3Participant Has it got to do with Silicon Heaven? November 12, 2016 at 5:24 pm #218312 JamesTCParticipant I think my list was better. November 12, 2016 at 5:25 pm #218313 neildoParticipant Ahhhhhh! Damn it! You’ve stolen my thunder, I wanted to post that as it’s my only piece of news ever haha! Ah well, I’ll put a photo up later. IT’S STILL MY SCOOP GODDAMIT!!! November 12, 2016 at 5:25 pm #218314 cwickhamParticipant Is it OK to speculate about the recording order, Ian? As I mentioned above I’ve tentatively worked out which set report belongs with which title. November 12, 2016 at 5:27 pm #218315 cwickhamParticipant Ahhhhhh! Damn it! You’ve stolen my thunder, I wanted to post that as it’s my only piece of news ever haha! Ah well, I’ll put a photo up later. IT’S STILL MY SCOOP GODDAMIT!!! Apologies, didn’t mean to tread on anyone’s toes. Just thought it’d be good to get the list up ASAP once we had the green light from an admin. November 12, 2016 at 5:28 pm #218316 flanl3Participant Don’t mean to push things, but is there any chance there’s some sort of synopsis they’ve included along with it? November 12, 2016 at 5:31 pm #218317 neildoParticipant I was only kidding cwickham, it’s totally fine! And no, there’s no synopsis, although I might need to double check that as I didn’t spend time reading it. I’ll also check the disc to make sure the correct episodes are on it too ha! November 12, 2016 at 5:36 pm #218318 Stephen AbootmanParticipant “they feel slightly off for RD episode titles” I felt XIs were slightly off when they came out but these I’m a lot happier with, sound great to me. November 12, 2016 at 6:29 pm #218322 (deleted)Participant My apologies for doubting, neildo. It wasn’t personal – in fairness this is such a batshit insane thing to happen I found the very idea impossible to swallow. Like the titles though. All very 2000AD. November 12, 2016 at 6:48 pm #218323 neildoParticipant Not at all Darrell, no worries. To be honest I just thought it was bullshit myself when I first saw them on the cover. Thought maybe it was titles from a different show or XI’s working titles. But I’m stupidly pleased that I got a Dwarf news scoop for once haha!
