Does anyone happen to recognise this Tony Hawks album I purchased for a quid in a charity shop today?

Discogs lists a similar release that was only sold with promotional copies of the book of the same name, but that only has five tracks, and I can’t find a listing for this one: https://www.discogs.com/release/31916587-Tony-Hawks-Songs-From-One-Hit-Wonderland

There are lots of gaps for this kind of thing on Discogs, you should add it to the database.

I can not answer your question, but in searching for answers I have discovered that Tony released an entire album of twee acoustic covers during lockdown. They are not great, but he does have a lovely voice.

“Vol 1”? The confidence on this man! Arrogance, some might even say.

But good to know that there’s now a song which is both featured in Red Dwarf and commercially covered by Tony Hawks, the Fifth/Sixth/Seventh Dwarfer.

Who can forget when Lister dressed up as Danny Zuko and serenaded Kochanski with You’re The One That I Want?

I have the 5 track version you talk about, It came free with the paperback of the book. It was also a TV show called the same name. The full album either was a TV tie in or something maybe he sold on his website maybe.

I have discovered since yesterday that there was a TV series based on One Hit Wonderland made for the Discovery channel (it is on YouTube, but only dubbed into what I’m guessing is Ukrainian based on the name of the channel — a possible candidate for a future G&TV?) in 2002. The 12-track CD appears to be a promotional thing tying into that, but I’m not sure of its exact origin.
