December 18, 2009 at 5:22 pm #107081 Ben PaddonParticipant I’ve signed up for it because, well, it’s free. I’m not convinced it’s official but it bloody looks it. They apparently launched very recently. If it were official you’d think TOS would have mentioned it. December 18, 2009 at 5:48 pm #107084 hummingbirdParticipant Whatever it is, it keeps making my browser crash. December 18, 2009 at 6:19 pm #107085 Pete Part ThreeParticipant I’d sign up to it if there was some original content on there. December 18, 2009 at 7:21 pm #107089 Danny StephensonKeymaster That’s weird. It does look bloody good, but where’s it come from?! December 18, 2009 at 7:22 pm #107091 Jonathan CappsKeymaster Yeah, this is official. A while ago the fan club got a link to the beta version. To this day, I have absolutely no idea what the point of it is. December 18, 2009 at 7:29 pm #107092 Danny StephensonKeymaster Having a bit of a root around it looks like a Red Dwarf version of Myspace/facebook. You can create your own pages and wikis and stuff. We’ll see how it goes… December 18, 2009 at 8:37 pm #107095 BlisschickParticipant I joined, but I’m trying to figure out what for. :/ December 18, 2009 at 9:24 pm #107100 ori-STUDFARMParticipant I’ve signed up……but as Blisschick says, am yet to figure out what for! Perhaps they can tell me the difference between Peter Jackson and Paul Jackson…I was suffering with a cold I couldn’t shake off and had a brain turd, okay!! :( December 18, 2009 at 10:27 pm #107103 PhilParticipant Free avatars?! Damn, right after I dropped $40 on a new one! (And I have to wait for shipping!) December 19, 2009 at 7:54 am #107108 Arlene Rimmer BSc SScParticipant >Free avatars?! Damn, right after I dropped $40 on a new one! (And I have to wait for shipping!) Forty bucks? They’re doing great without a gun to your head. I got my avvy for $9+shipping off Amazon, used. It’s not perfect–the pixels are a little scratched up, and the color tends to run a bit–but it’s pretty good for the price. You just have to know where to look for the deals, man. December 19, 2009 at 1:26 pm #107113 Kris ‘Drivaaar’ CarterParticipant Got mine in a car boot sale, 50p. Bargain! December 19, 2009 at 7:09 pm #107118 BlisschickParticipant I found mine by a dumpster. A little ratty around the edges, but still good really. It’s amazing the stuff people throw out. December 19, 2009 at 8:33 pm #107120 hummingbirdParticipant Was I done when I paid ?15.99 on eBay? Damn. December 20, 2009 at 1:13 am #107148 Kris ‘Drivaaar’ CarterParticipant You got stiffed on the shipping dude. Serious. December 20, 2009 at 6:38 am #107153 redhead85Participant Mine was from a dealer in Camden. Maybe I was drunk, but ?20 seemed such a steal at the time… December 22, 2009 at 9:56 am #107207 thomasaevansParticipant And while we’re at It: http://www.2entertainuk.com/microsites/rd2009/index.php?t=1 Andrew explain Red Dwarf Network please! January 24, 2010 at 2:25 pm #108434 JoParticipant Why on earth does “Red Dwarf’s official social networking site” have a forum on it? I don’t really see the point of it anyway to be honest! For a start it’s not a social network site, it’s basically a links site and the blog feed just seems to be a revolving advert for Snip’s blog, but aside from that it has it’s very own forum… so if this is offical then what about TOS forum?? It’s all very bizarre! January 24, 2010 at 9:41 pm #108447 Tarka DalParticipant I am officially confused. January 24, 2010 at 11:08 pm #108454 hummingbirdParticipant I am unofficially confused. January 25, 2010 at 12:10 am #108463 Ben PaddonParticipant I have no strong feelings one way or the other. January 25, 2010 at 1:04 am #108468 John HoareParticipant It’s shite. HTH. January 25, 2010 at 1:32 am #108471 pfmParticipant Crap for us but maybe pretty decent for the casuals. January 25, 2010 at 4:57 pm #108486 ori-STUDFARMParticipant Crap for you lot but maybe pretty decent for us casuals. January 25, 2010 at 5:52 pm #108489 Pete Part ThreeParticipant Maybe just crap all round. January 25, 2010 at 7:26 pm #108491 Jonathan CappsKeymaster > Crap for you lot but maybe pretty decent for us casuals. That would explain the high quality of your Red Dwarf podcasts, then. (zing) January 25, 2010 at 9:22 pm #108495 ori-STUDFARMParticipant Pretty much…although I like to think they are getting slightly better….maybe…slightly… February 16, 2010 at 11:50 pm #108823 p2p_productionsParticipant Is it just me, or is the RDN site not loading anymore..? :/ February 17, 2010 at 9:22 am #108826 Jonathan CappsKeymaster Not loading for me, either. February 17, 2010 at 11:58 am #108827 p2p_productionsParticipant In fact, it looks like all their other sites are down too. Weird. It’s been like this since before the weekend, with no announcement made or anything. February 17, 2010 at 11:19 pm #108835 PhilParticipant Proof that you can’t stay in business giving out free avatars. February 18, 2010 at 9:40 am #108836 Ben PaddonParticipant They may have caused a collapse in the entire avatar market. With their networks offering avatars for free, other avatar websites are having to drastically reduce the price of their avatars – sometimes to nothing, but almost always below cost. I fear this may be the end for internet avatars as we know it. February 18, 2010 at 6:33 pm #108843 p2p_productionsParticipant Does this mean the competitions are null and void, then? Shame, as I was looking forward to seeing the ‘Design a DVD cover’ entries. February 18, 2010 at 11:17 pm #108848 Ben PaddonParticipant Entry. February 18, 2010 at 11:42 pm #108849 p2p_productionsParticipant Touch Author Replies Viewing 36 replies - 1 through 36 (of 36 total) Scroll to top • Scroll to Recent Forum Posts You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
