The Best Dimension Jump News Ever News Posted by Ian Symes on 30th March 2011, 18:37 Unbelievable. We may have been hit by the loss of Robert Llewellyn (although he’ll still be doing a Q&A via Skype), but this year’s Dimension Jump has just gained a massive, massive guest star. It’s been a long time coming, but finally, after years of hoping, begging and dreaming, we’re finally going to meet the man himself. Yes, folks – Steven Wickham is coming to DJ. Oh yeah, and so is Doug Naylor. We’re quite excited about this, obviously. If it’s not enough to get a Q+A, autograph, photograph, and hopefully a bar-based chat with the man who created your favourite TV show (and, if you’re us, basically shaped your entire life) – there’s also going to be some big news. Speaking exclusively to G&T (oh, alright, it was an @ reply on Twitter), Doug said: I couldn’t go along empty handed. Least I could do was bring a World Wide Exclusive. Fuck me. Well, if you’re not already coming to DJ, let’s face it – you are now. BOOK NOW BOOK NOW BOOK NOW BOOK NOW.
I’m not fussed for getting Doug’s autograph. I’ve got that certificate with one on it. So… meh. …How on earth do you do a trollface on here? :p …of course that’s utter utter bullshit! This is news beyond which I cannot fathom words with which to express how overjoyed I am at the fact that TEH NAYLORZ will be attending. Wow this next week really can’t go fast enough now! BRING IT OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!!!!!
Amazing! Just…amazing! > there’s also going to be some big news. I’m guessing it’s gonna be…the sausages are done?? :P
I AM A BIT EXCITED. I know for some people, the most exciting people to meet are the cast. And I can understand that. But for me, there is nobody more important than the writers. And the fact that I’ve never had a chance to meet either of them has always been a major disappointment. ALL THAT’S GONNA CHANGE. Doug may have to put up with listening to me bore his ear off about how much of a hero and influence he is on me. And with being asked to have his picture taken with me wearing the TM:YNYN jacket.
It’s not been mentioned already, but non of this would have been possible without Jo! Her sturdy and steadfast obsessed exuberance to get the cast to come has paid off for all of us!
> Her sturdy and steadfast obsessed exuberance to get the cast to come has paid off for all of us! Just imagine what Humph would have made of that sentence. (Jo’s been awesome, btw)
