Quick! Let’s run amok while they’re not here!

    So…

Anybody tried those new Tiger Nuts? They’re quite nice.

I’m going to a college reunion tomorrow. Anyone else doing anything exciting?

I’m going to Dimension Jump. But I’m currently not there on train doing things about my favourite band Madness and such can I talk about that here? Then leave the thread when I get to Birmingham? ;-)

I’m basically just looking for a place to plug the video. To Fu ManChu. By 2 Members of Madness
In The Lee Thompson Ska Orchestra. Because I get a cameo in the video as a doorman. Which got me all excited to see it going online yesterday, when I should be excited more about all the Red Dwarf stuff happening later, instead.

Seeing the excellent Timmy Moore Trio play their heavy blues in Maidstone tonight. Then off to Cheltenham for a wedding and a bit of a disco. I have already promised myself that I am 100% going to the next DJ!

Not much… going to see my new niece tonight, then a friend’s birthday party tomorrow, then feverishly working on getting the Smegazines logged into the encyclopedia. In other news, got my tickets for the Star Trek: Into Darkness U.S. premiere in 2 weeks.

I am going to my best mate’s birthday party tomorrow. He loves Star Wars, his birthday is May 4th and this is the first time he’s thrown a Star Wars themed fancy dress party. Madness.

    I’ll be going as R2-D2.

Other than that, I’ll be revising for my last two university exams (in theory).

Studying for final exams and attending a Folk Festival this weekend. I’d much rather be a few thousand miles away partying all night.

Tomorrow I’m going to work, then out for a meal to celebrate a friend’s 30th tomorrow night. Work again on Sunday, out again on Sunday night for a few bevvies, slob around with a hangover on Monday. And tonight I watched Slap Shot starring Paul Newman.

I’m going this “Geek Night” thing at the FAB cafe in Manchester on Saturday. I was hoping to make a homemade ‘H’ to wear in lieu of a full costume, but I shall be wearing a ‘Serenity’ shirt anyway.

Yesterday, I got the Red Dwarf X blu ray and been watching Red Dwarf X in lovely, shiny, smooth with a capital “smoo” HD.

A family member is in the hospital with a serious case of The Shits. More interesting than my weekend of playing boggle with myself. And that’s not even a euphemism. Believe me, I wish it was. It would be more interesting than my weekend of ambiguous declarations.

Waiting for the MOOKS to start complaining about hangovers!

    Here’s what I suggest!

I, for what it’s worth, had an excellent time at my college reunion yesterday. Had a few hours being bought alcohol by assorted girls. Just about forgot about DJ.

Had an excellent time myself at Geek Night last night. I went wearing a ‘Serenity’ shirt and was thinking of making a ‘H’ to wear too but couldn’t find (or probably afford) the stuff I’d need to make it. It was the first time I’d been in that type of atmosphere – felt like I was with my own kind basically and had fun spending time and having photos taken with cosplayers. Plus, my team won the quiz there! I like to think it was partly because of my Whedonverse knowledge ^_^

If anything it did make me think more of DJ though and what I could be missing by spending time with fellow Red Dwarf fans. I’ve made a promise to myself now to save up for the next DJ!

Well, one of the girls in the above photo gave me twenty quid to get myself a pint, and refused to take the change off me, so I came home with more money than I went out with. That money is going straight in my DJXVIII pot.

It was a college reunion. There were only six lads on the course – two were working, one wasn’t invited (!), one couldn’t make it for other reasons, and one was recovering from a heart attack. That left me. The girls who made it are mostly married. Those who aren’t married include my ex-girlfriend. Not telling you where she is in the picture.

That’s why I did Performing Arts at college, we had the same boy-girl ratio! I failed to get off with any of them or even get one of them to hold it for a bit.

Just got back from the wedding and catching up with latest DJ news. New Dwarf Cast – yes please!

Once DJ recognize the, erm… vast Hispanic fanbase Dwarf has and decides to host El DJ España I will certainly be the first (and most likely the only) person in line to attend.

MANI506 – mine was a Performing Arts course. 15 years on, I think about 2 of those who attended are still performing. (I finished with a Merit profile, if you’re interested.)

Unfortunately I won’t be able to because in between the last DJ and this one I married a girl from Austin Texas and I’m in the process of relocating to America. I showed her series 2 and she laughed at Cat saying ‘I’d prefer chicken’. She also totally thought Holly was leaving at the end of Queeg.
So I’ll be glued to G & T over the DJ weekend and it looks like I’ll be buying series XI on region 1 DVD.
I went to DJ 97, 98 and 09. They were all brilliant and I made lifelong friends.

Oh. That’s better than me not being able to save enough money. :/

I made DJ in 2002 and 2007. This year, I’m actually in employment, and so I might actually be able to stick to my guns and keep saving.

I’m drawing Red Dwarf logos and cartoons of Kryten. Also resisting the urge to constantly Tweet about how much I wish I was at Dimension Jump.

    La la la la-la.

I’m not a loser Mr Capps. It’s not as if anything cool will happen at Dimension Jump. Like being in a room full of big dwarf fans when the writer of the show rocks up unannounced and tells the world there are TWO brand new series of the show coming and filming laters this year. So I’m hardly losing out by being here doing my laundry. Where’s the smeg hammer?

It’s still on my bucket list. After a horrible year of failed jobs and just scraping by, there was no way to save for us, either. We’re in a much better place now, and I pointed out to my husband that we need to go next year or at least once in the future. He didn’t say no. He also could have been humoring me…but maybe not…
