Went to see this last night and, at the end of the movie, a new deadite “final form” is revealed which is essentially the Rimmer monster from “Officer Rimmer”; a mass of bodies conjoined into one.

Here’s the thing, though… I think Red Dwarf did it better. The deadite beast was not scary or threatening at all and actually seemed like less of a threat than the individual demons it had formed from, which is unfortunate.

That’s not to say that the Rimmer monster was any of those adjectives (scary, threatening) but I think Officer Rimmer’s climax (oo-er!) contained a better version of this thing than that of Evil Dead Rise.

But did Evil Dead Rise end as abruptly?

In Clive Barker’s ‘In the Hills, the Cities,’ the whole populations of towns are conjoined into giant monsters that have a scrap.

Why did it combine three final forms into one though?

That also happens in Dave Stone’s Heart of TARDIS. Strange book by a strange man.
