Here’s the thing, though… I think Red Dwarf did it better. The deadite beast was not scary or threatening at all and actually seemed like less of a threat than the individual demons it had formed from, which is unfortunate. That’s not to say that the Rimmer monster was any of those adjectives (scary, threatening) but I think Officer Rimmer’s climax (oo-er!) contained a better version of this thing than that of Evil Dead Rise.
