I have posted on the BTLi forums for many, many years under gwyneth or gaj86, and this weekend I lost my DJ virginity. It was amazing, and I finally got to touch Craig Charles, which made my inner 13-year-old (you know you all have one) weep with joy (and other things). Many of you – including you lovely people who run this amazing site – met me there. I just want to thank all of you for… I don’t know… being so friendly. I went there on my own, only really knowing Karl, and by today felt that I was becoming part of a big nerdy family. It made me all warm and fuzzy, and I’m gutted to have to come back to reality again. I really just wanted to say I HAVE JOINED! YAY!!! and hope that it doesn’t sound too egotisctical!! But also, DJXV was amazing, I have nothing to compare to but everyone tells me that it was one of the best years! :) Well, I met them all (except Norm, of course) at last and Craig commented about my tit touching his shoulder so I can die happy now… Creator Topic Viewing 39 replies - 51 through 89 (of 89 total) 1 2 Author Replies October 13, 2009 at 8:24 pm #104628 Tarka DalParticipant > Did you grow a new one then? No, but I imagine by the next time I see HB I could probably manage it ;-) October 14, 2009 at 10:32 am #104678 GwynnieParticipant Why are people getting creeped out by beards? Honestly. We can change the subject if you want. We’ve covered guys with long hair, and beards… what about flip-flops? ;) October 14, 2009 at 10:58 am #104680 TrenaParticipant I found out recently that my father met my mother while working in the same pub. This I knew. He was wearing grey socks and Jesus sandals due to a persistance of clammy feet. Charming, they’ve been married twenty-seven years now, shocking. October 14, 2009 at 7:03 pm #104709 ori-STUDFARMParticipant What do you call flip flops when worn by a man with only one leg?……… October 14, 2009 at 7:19 pm #104711 Seb PatrickKeymaster Doug Naylor’s flip flops. October 14, 2009 at 7:37 pm #104714 siParticipant >What do you call flip flops when worn by a man with only one leg???? Flips? October 14, 2009 at 8:55 pm #104725 TrenaParticipant Crip flops. Though to some, that could be gang related impotence. October 14, 2009 at 9:30 pm #104733 JoParticipant Very poor. I prefer Seb’s answer :o) October 14, 2009 at 9:41 pm #104736 siParticipant >What do you call flip flops when worn by a man with only one leg???? That Australian Guy Who’s Sometimes On Mock The Week’s Thong. October 15, 2009 at 5:32 pm #104770 TheLeenParticipant Doug Naylor’s flip flops. hahaha Fixed. From my phone. October 16, 2009 at 9:22 am #104813 Tanya JonesParticipant John could grow a beard very easily. Bet that puts you ladies off. October 16, 2009 at 10:16 am #104823 GwynnieParticipant Hahah. That’s a lovely thing to say :P I don’t know, depends on whether they love any beard, or just beards on certain faces! Or like.. any guy with a beard becomes instantly attractive? I’m a bit like that with black shirts.. October 16, 2009 at 10:20 am #104825 DaveParticipant >I?m a bit like that with black shirts.. Everybody loves a fascist. October 16, 2009 at 10:22 am #104827 GwynnieParticipant Haha. Not quite what I meant :P October 16, 2009 at 10:37 am #104831 TheLeenParticipant There is very few faces that don’t benefit from beard or longer hair. They exist, but they’re just very few. October 16, 2009 at 10:56 am #104835 Danny StephensonKeymaster I’ve never had long hair. But I really can’t be arsed waiting that long to find out… October 16, 2009 at 12:48 pm #104845 Arlene Rimmer BSc SScParticipant >There is very few faces that don?t benefit from beard or longer hair. They exist, but they?re just very few. Now, see, I’m sort of the other way around: I think it’s a very select sort of face that is really and truly improved by facial hair, for the most part. Although it’s not necessarily something that’ll ruin your look; I just think it’s more of a lateral move for most men. I can take it or leave it, really. That said, I’m all for longer hair ^_^ . October 16, 2009 at 4:06 pm #104859 hummingbirdParticipant > any guy with a beard becomes instantly attractive? There’s a world of difference between a nicely trimmed beard and a ZZtop. October 16, 2009 at 4:24 pm #104863 GwynnieParticipant I can take it or leave it, anyway… I used to like my men clean shaven, but then I also used to fancy members of boybands with that old style known as “curtains”… I prefer my ladies not to have beards though, really, call me old fashioned but it just doesn’t look right.. October 16, 2009 at 11:28 pm #104895 CarlitoParticipant > I used to like my men clean shaven, but then I also used to fancy members of boybands with that old style known as ?curtains? This would be justifiable if it wasn’t so recent :( To define “recent”, I mean last couple of years, not last couple of hours. October 17, 2009 at 12:24 am #104897 JoParticipant >I mean last couple of years Really? Are you in an A1 tribute band? October 17, 2009 at 12:38 am #104902 CarlitoParticipant Nope. It was just an error of judgement. I have since been fully rehabilitated. October 17, 2009 at 12:50 am #104905 siParticipant Well, I have, at various times in the last ten or so years, looked like this: This: (on the left there…) This: And this: I am not remotely happy with any of those looks. Except perhaps the first one, which I am unlikely to ever achieve again. October 17, 2009 at 10:04 am #104909 Ian SymesKeymaster Well, I have, at various times in the last ten or so years, looked like this: This: (on the left there?) This: And this: I am not remotely happy with any of those looks. Except perhaps the first one, which I am unlikely to ever achieve again. October 17, 2009 at 2:16 pm #104921 hummingbirdParticipant I think the last one is very you. Especially the lippy. October 17, 2009 at 2:25 pm #104925 Ben PaddonParticipant Si, that’s nonsense. You don’t look anything like Danny John-Jules. October 17, 2009 at 11:10 pm #104959 GwynnieParticipant Oh Carl, back in my younger days I’d have totally done you. Although the chest looks pretty hair, I’m not so much into that. Maybe these aren’t things I should say on a public forum… October 17, 2009 at 11:10 pm #104960 GwynnieParticipant *hairy October 18, 2009 at 4:22 am #104977 CarlitoParticipant how YOU doin’? ;) October 18, 2009 at 11:07 am #104982 siParticipant My chest, shoulders and back are very hairy. I was thinking of having them waxed for charity one day. October 18, 2009 at 4:31 pm #104994 Joey TORDFCParticipant Yeah that photo of Carl with curtains was hot! Fair play mate. October 18, 2009 at 4:32 pm #104995 GwynnieParticipant Hahah, we probably shouldn’t inflate his ego too much, he might bring the curtains back ;) October 18, 2009 at 4:39 pm #104999 TrenaParticipant That is a fine centre parting though, worthy of PJ and Duncan… October 18, 2009 at 4:41 pm #105001 siParticipant I had some mean curtains when I was 16. Shocking. October 18, 2009 at 11:40 pm #105036 The PerformingMonkeyParticipant > Maybe these aren?t things I should say on a public forum? Well, definitely not the ‘I would have done Carl’ part… October 19, 2009 at 5:43 am #105041 TrenaParticipant Oh we’ve all done Carl. October 19, 2009 at 9:16 am #105044 Seb PatrickKeymaster I had some mean curtains when I was 16. Shocking. October 19, 2009 at 10:23 am #105045 GwynnieParticipant Hahahaha. Oh dear. There is a definite similarity. October 19, 2009 at 10:49 am #105048 siParticipant Right. You’ve been warned. You want similarity?
