Watching them again. Anyone else have wishes for a reunion? Or Is It a disaster waiting to happen?

They’re great, aren’t they? Apparently Simon Nye had another ‘post-baby’ special written and the cast was all lined up – and then the pug was pulled. I’ve not seen many details…

It’s just wondererful. One of my favourite sitcoms ever. And exactly the kind of post-watershed sitcom that the BBC seems to have forgotten how to produce.

I wasn’t that keen on the last three specials, as far as I recall, but I’d like to go back and watch them again, to see if I enjoy them more the second time round.

Wasn’t it Caroline Quentin who didn’t want to do any more? Probably a good thing imo.

That’s how I remember it. She said no, so it stalled. I think it was probably for the best as the final trilogy felt a little forced. One of my faves, though.

Ah! Men Behaving Badly was great…I was glad they replaced Harry Enfield because I never seemed to like his character much.

It’s a good job it didn’t return because not only the last specials but the last SERIES before that was way too self-aware.

It’s certainly a more awkward performance than Neil’s, although I do like Dermott’s utter contempt for humankind. They couldn’t really have kept that going, though, so it’s just as well Tony came into being instead.

Tanya…awkward is spot on. I only recently viewed that first series, and I was stunned. Not sure how I would rank it.

DId a sketch in college a few years back of three sofa scenes edited together, was hillarious. I do a damn fine impression of Tony.

What Im wondering now, is what sitcom will be ressurected for christmas night. Surely ‘To The Manor Born’ wont be the highlight of christmas evening???

The BBC is no longer interested in the audience that Christmas used to attract

So that’s why they put on the Queen’s speech…really who watches that!? It’s on at the same time you have decided you are taking all your presents up stairs or eating food or when you are testing out some of you presents (some times trying to use three at the same time) or broken one of your new presents or attempting to find batteries that weren’t included with your presents.

There is nothing in that paragraph that suggests you get anything other than sex toys for Christmas.

But this one deserves some kind of award.

I’ve just started watching the first series of Men Behaving Badly, having not really seen much of the ITV episodes.

    a) It’s really, really fucking funny, isn’t it? The line about Gary being like a “badly-trained labrador” during sex is FANTASTIC.

    b) The first series was shown at 8:30pm on ITV – and can you IMAGINE them showing a sitcom with this kind of material at that time now? Loads of rude stuff, including a ‘bullshit’ present and correct.

Yeah there’s something to It… but Harry Enfield is’nt even trying. Plus Debora is drastically different.

    Right about the content though.
