I had this once and it never resurfaced? At first I’d assumed my posting was maybe declined as I’d started the exact same thread on various other forums…..then I tried to convince myself that it was a technical glitch.

Then I realised…..it was probably because it was in fact a boring arse and stupid thread to start in the first place!

It’s nowt personal – it’s all automatic. We have a spam-detecting system that can sometimes be a bit hyperactive, but without it we’d all be drowning in Russian performance-enhancing drugs. Sometimes genuine comments get caught in the net – this tends to be if they contain nothing but a link (in Dave’s case), or if they repeat one thing over and over again, or just if they contain phrases that are usually associated with spambots. A lot of it seems to be completely random, but hey ho.

We try to keep on top of the moderation queue by checking it regularly, but as with the rest of G&T, we can be a bit shit at it at times. If it’s a tiny comment that’s queued, it’s probably best to repost it ten minutes later. If it’s a bigger one that you’re pissed off about losing, drop us an email and we’ll publish it straight away.
