Hence the name a Stellar Link News Posted by Ian Symes on 19th June 2026, 09:38 Ooh, we could get used to having regular Red Dwarf updates on a Friday morning every week, what a novel idea. Yes, the presumably-official Titan accounts have spluttered into life once more this morning, with the latest YouTube video, this time entitled Stellar Link, premiering again at 11:00am BST. Based on last time, we’re expecting something cool and teasery rather than anything too substantial, but you never know. Well, you do know if you’re coming to this post more than 82 minutes after it was posted, but still. Let’s have another miniature watchalong, shall we?
I enjoyed this one more than last week’s, now I know only to expect a teaser that’s like half the length of the YouTube Premiere countdown. Lovely that the graphics are designed to look like the displays used in the BBC era, and that Esperanto is back! It was clearly zooming in on Saturn, and it had a visible moon there, but which one was it meant to be? My money’s on Mimas.
Yeah for short little teasers these are great – nice world building and the vibes feel right for BBC era of the show. The fonts and noise of this stuff feels like it fits perfectly with other HUD style visual overlays that we’ve seen in the past for things like Talkie Toaster booting up and Kryten’s damage report analysis That shimmer/interlace or whatever it is on the text is spot on
Interestingly some of the text suggests that the focus is on Saturn IV, which would be Dione rather than Titan.
I’d love to know who’s doing these. They’re clearly a fan! As a motion graphic designer, I’m very jealous. Nice work though!
