Sorry about this, but it’s necessary to keep me sane. Creator Topic Viewing 44 replies - 1 through 44 (of 44 total) Author Replies September 3, 2012 at 10:31 am #126397 siParticipant Darn. I was going to start a pre-launch thread where we could all praise G&T. ‘Ones for the Recommmendations’, I was going to call it. I was going to start with “Ganymede & Titan: For cunts like you & me”. September 3, 2012 at 10:45 am #126398 Jonathan CappsKeymaster Feel free to use this thread for whatever you desire. We reserve the right to not add any proposed recommendations, mind. Joke ones from people who actually visit the site is sort of besides the point… September 3, 2012 at 10:57 am #126399 siParticipant Who’s joking? ;) September 3, 2012 at 12:10 pm #126405 JamesTCParticipant If we really need a new topic we could just use an article with no comments on it from 10 years ago. That’s a compromise that makes everybody happy. September 3, 2012 at 12:13 pm #126406 peepingsignalParticipant >Feel free to use this thread for whatever you desire. Hmm, my plan for an Offshore Monkey Casino can finally go ahead! That’s a compromise that makes everybody happy. Apart from me. September 3, 2012 at 2:06 pm #126414 Paul MullerParticipant Enough of this tot, I found this. I’m not sure if it’s been posted here before, but if so, apologies. In fact, apologies anyway, as it’s bloody awful. September 3, 2012 at 2:14 pm #126415 Paul MullerParticipant And this. Highlights include: “This sci-fi sitcom pursues the bizarre events of the capsule’s crew” “The crew are a loony lot..sporting an odd mixture of American uniforms and British accents.” “In the Red Dwarf, the android gets transformed into a Brando-like rebel” September 3, 2012 at 3:18 pm #126419 siParticipant My God. September 3, 2012 at 3:58 pm #126421 ori-STUDFARMParticipant I actually really liked the first video. In a cheesy way. But that last clip…I think I am going to call the show THE Red Dwarf from now on in an attempt at trying to come across as an arty farty intellectual Australian. September 3, 2012 at 6:35 pm #126435 ConnellParticipant There’s something about those Australian presenters that makes me feel like they’re going to shed tears as soon as the camera stops rolling… September 3, 2012 at 6:45 pm #126437 Pecospete666Participant This would be a good idea for Dwarf! some sort of bunk scene and plug you face in! http://www.bbcamerica.com/copper/mugshot-yourself/ September 3, 2012 at 10:04 pm #126451 peepingsignalParticipant I really like the promo, was unaware they did one of those Station IDs for Australia. That second clip is just odd, and I’ll tell you right now that most Australians are not like that. No, we’re too busy brewing Fosters and riding Koalas across the Harbour Bridge. September 4, 2012 at 7:29 pm #126475 JimboidParticipant Hahaha, christ. This is rather good: I am unable to create a new forum topic but I refuse to deprive you all of a description of my dream last night: I was stuck in a public toilet with Vin Diesel, trying to escape. Outside was a press junket for Red Dwarf Series X, where it was revealed that the entire series was based around Rimmer’s attempts to create a musical version of the early days of the series. His eventual interpretation would be released on a separate DVD and would feature Kryten tap dancing with an umbrella…which became stuck in the doors of a lift. The cast then went for drinks, apart from Craig Charles whose white Volkswagen Beetle had been clamped…and Robert Llewellyn who had earlier proclaimed that the new series had “gone too far.” Make of that what you will. September 5, 2012 at 10:35 pm #126509 Pecospete666Participant Boring! http://www.fempop.com/2012/09/05/red-dwarf-is-back-minus-its-one-female-cast-member/ September 6, 2012 at 3:08 am #126517 HelloMabelParticipant > “Chloe Annett, who played Kochanski in those dark years, was an able enough actress–even funny in some episodes, but her existence shattered the one truly sweet aspect of Lister’s character–mainly his centuries long crush on her.” Oh dear. Don’t worry, I politely cleared her up on this matter in the comments. September 6, 2012 at 7:12 am #126519 Jonathan CappsKeymaster “So why did we all hate her? Was it latent sexism? Our devotion to principle? Should Lister find happiness with his alternate universe crush or should he forever be a spicy curry consuming bastard travelling through space and having time paradoxical incest sex?” Why are you asking me questions but not attempting to answer them yourself? September 6, 2012 at 11:18 am #126522 Pete Part ThreeParticipant Tiresome. September 6, 2012 at 11:50 am #126523 Danny StephensonKeymaster And why has Hatty Hayridge not reprised her role as a female version of the ship’s computer? Yeah, because it’s totally up to her as to whether the character is in the show or not.. September 6, 2012 at 5:52 pm #126533 ori-STUDFARMParticipant “Intergalatic ne’er do wells who died thinking of gazpacho soup, impregnated their grandmothers with their fathers and rocked an iridescent suit like nobodies’ business.” Who impregnated their Grandmother with their Father? Please have the new site up and running by the time I wake up! Thank you! :) September 7, 2012 at 1:37 am #126542 CarlitoParticipant > Who impregnated their Grandmother with their Father? Well Lister is his own father so Kochanski is both his mother and his grandmother. So Lister’s father impregnated his grandmother. Of course this all makes Lister’s continuing lust for his own great great grandmother Kochanski incredibly creepy. September 7, 2012 at 2:34 am #126545 HelloMabelParticipant > internet… amazing What I meant was all the people who posted how they related to the song because of their own intrafamilial relationships. September 7, 2012 at 9:02 am #126549 Seb PatrickKeymaster Well Lister is his own father so Kochanski is both his mother and his grandmother. So Lister’s father impregnated his grandmother. Of course this all makes Lister’s continuing lust for his own great great grandmother Kochanski incredibly creepy. This is the best thing you have ever posted on here. September 7, 2012 at 9:23 am #126552 Pete Part ThreeParticipant >Well Lister is his own father so Kochanski is both his mother and his grandmother. So Lister’s father impregnated his grandmother. That makes no sense even for a time travel story! Kochanski’s mother is not Kochanski. September 7, 2012 at 9:56 am #126553 CarlitoParticipant No but she is his paternal grandmother. His father’s mother. See? September 7, 2012 at 10:08 am #126554 Pete Part ThreeParticipant Oh, I see. Yes, very good. Shitty zombies. September 7, 2012 at 10:23 am #126556 siParticipant I’m sure there was an episode of Sons and Daughters in 1985 with this exact same plot. September 7, 2012 at 3:30 pm #126564 Pete Part ThreeParticipant >A series 7 quote from PP3. Rare as unicorn bollocks. Well, it was reference to that Wiki article which said the story was rejected by Playboy but, rest assured, I was sobbing as a I pressed “Post Comment”. September 7, 2012 at 3:53 pm #126565 Pecospete666Participant Whats up with the secret code? http://channelhopping.onthebox.com/2012/09/07/the-red-dwarf-countdown-begins-on-dave-plus-secret-codes-and-more/ September 7, 2012 at 3:53 pm #126566 PhilParticipant >So, any final words before the site shuts off? Not many of those on here.) September 7, 2012 at 5:06 pm #126569 Danny StephensonKeymaster I’ll say goodbye to love… September 7, 2012 at 5:27 pm #126570 PhilParticipant >Adios You tease. September 7, 2012 at 5:41 pm #126571 Paul MullerParticipant Look, I’m not much good at big speeches, and I know I haven’t always been an easy guy to get on with. And I know that, given the choice, I probably wouldn’t have chosen you as friends. But, I just want to say… that over the years I have come to regard you as… cunts… I met.
