Murder suspect claimed he was watching Family Guy and Red Dwarf when victim was killed.

When he was quizzed, the 24-year-old – who lived in the same tower block as the victim – said he rarely left his flat throughout September 9 and 10 last year.

He told murder squad detectives that he played alone on his X-box games console for most of the Sunday before watching trailers for the sci-fi comedy Red Dwarf.

To be fair, there was a trailer released that weekend…

Quick question. I’ve not watched Freaks for ages. And I mean like years…I remember it being a movie that showed that outward appearances don’t matter and that the true monsters of the piece are actually the beautiful ones. Am I remembering this correctly? Or is it actually an absolutely offensive to hell movie of its era?

I haven’t watched “Freaks” for years either, but I believe the message is indeed supposed to be what you say. That’s how I interpreted it.

However, I have read reviews which cast doubt on this and say the film exploits the “freaks”, so really it’s a question of making up your own mind.
