Always used to dream that I had Red Dward action figures when I was a wee ‘un….and was always disappointed to wake up and find not only did I not have any, but that they did not in fact exist. July 8, 2008 at 11:10 am #82171 PhilParticipant Those do look, great, Ben, and not bad likenesses. Except for Danny. He looks good, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t think I’ve EVER seen a Cat replica that looked “right.” Absolutely no idea why. July 8, 2008 at 6:12 pm #82172 pfmParticipant They remind me of Thunderbirds marionette versions of the crew. How cool could that be, Dwarf done in a Team America style?? Of course, I’d love an animation of some kind… July 8, 2008 at 11:42 pm #82178 Ben PaddonParticipant Seb Patrick typed some words… Oh, those are superb :-) I?ve always wanted Dwarf action figures? in fact, I spent FAR too long working out a list of potential ?waves? of figures a while back?. *digs out* http://www.ganymede.tv/atspeed/2006/04/where-does-he-get-those-wonderful… That list is pretty much spot on. I’d buy each and every one of those. I should speak to some of the toy companies that will no doubt be at Comic-Con this year, see if I can’t convince ’em to contact GNP to snag the license… July 9, 2008 at 2:09 am #82180 ChrisMParticipant I didn’t think the Lister’s face looked right but apart from that those figures look good. July 9, 2008 at 11:33 am #82184 Zombie Jim UndeadParticipant I’d personally like a Drive Room playset, a talking cat priest featuring various pronounciations of “slobbiness”, Rimmer’s Mum with alpabeti spaghetti. July 9, 2008 at 8:22 pm #82205 JamesParticipant “What are you gay!” No full life size poseable Chlo? (Kochanski) July 10, 2008 at 1:33 am #82212 peas_and_cornParticipant No doubt a life size Kochanski with a “shocked” expression. July 13, 2008 at 2:26 pm #82283 DaveParticipant I seem to remember an announcement or rumour that Dapol had the Red Dwarf toy licence at one point. I hink we can all be glad that nothing came of that if it were true. I would love it if someone like Character Options released the Boys in plastic form, unlikely it already was presumably more unlikelier by the failure of the headknockers (http://www.t-2.co.uk) to take the world’s desks by storm. Who bought a headknocker or four? July 13, 2008 at 3:04 pm #82284 Seb PatrickKeymaster I seem to remember an announcement or rumour that Dapol had the Red Dwarf toy licence at one point. I hink we can all be glad that nothing came of that if it were true. Ahh, come on, I love the Dapol Who stuff. Yes, Dwarf toys by them would have been crap, but endearingly so. July 13, 2008 at 3:17 pm #82286 DaveParticipant >Ahh, come on, I love the Dapol Who stuff. Yes, Dwarf toys by them would have been crap, but endearingly so Lister would have been a repaint of Ace, Tetraps repackaged as Kinatowowi, it would have been interesting July 13, 2008 at 3:42 pm #82288 TheLeenParticipant “Dapol” is the Klingon word for chocolate. July 13, 2008 at 7:06 pm #82289 ChrisMParticipant >Who bought a headknocker or four? I did. I bought Lister first for a mate’s birthday (or Christmas) and managed to break his arm taking him out of the box. So I glued his arm and kept that one and ordered another for my mate. My Lister has since broken beyond repair and ended up in the bin. I got Dwayne Dibbley with Beat the Geeks and I bought the other two (The Inquisitor and Kryten.) I’m not sure which of those two is my favourite. So there you go, four head knockers, one being dead. (I’ve thought of replacing it but I’m not too fussed.) I was hoping to get the Psiren one, but alas they didn’t continue. July 14, 2008 at 1:02 pm #82309 PhilParticipant >My Lister has since broken beyond repair and ended up in the bin. Was it that poorly made or was there an accident? July 14, 2008 at 4:00 pm #82319 ChrisMParticipant I think there was an accident, but it is made of a rather brittle material too. And the arm sticking out doesn’t help. It’s a great looking figure though. I haven’t had much trouble with my others. Come to think of it, I think Dwayne Dibbley’s head came off once or twice, but that was just a quick fix with the neck spring (i.e not really a break at all.) July 14, 2008 at 8:26 pm #82332 John HoareParticipant I broke my Duane headknocker the moment I got it out the packaging – I dropped it straight on the floor and the head came off. What a Dibbley!!!!!!111111111 July 14, 2008 at 8:37 pm #82336 Seb PatrickKeymaster Didn’t you also decapitate Cappsy’s while you were staying round our gaff? July 14, 2008 at 8:39 pm #82337 John HoareParticipant I… did. And I completely fucking forgot about it. I need to buy him another! Yes, that’s two I’ve done now. What a Dibbley!!!!!!111111111 July 14, 2008 at 8:51 pm #82338 Seb PatrickKeymaster You did buy him another, didn’t you? He definitely got one from somewhere… July 14, 2008 at 8:53 pm #82339 Ian SymesKeymaster Jo got him another. July 14, 2008 at 8:56 pm #82340 John HoareParticipant Shit. Sorry, Capps! July 14, 2008 at 9:44 pm #82347 Jonathan CappsKeymaster I forgive you! July 14, 2008 at 11:19 pm #82348 Ben PaddonParticipant I’ve been trying to track down a US stockist of Red Dwarf merch. I’d love to get my mits on some of those headknockers. And a Mr Flibble puppet, but the only place I can seemingly get one of those is Australia. Bugger that. July 15, 2008 at 8:31 am #82356 Tanya JonesParticipant >Didn?t you also decapitate Cappsy?s while you were staying round our gaff? Don’t leave anything even slightly fragile near John. He’s like a clumsy toddler. July 15, 2008 at 12:19 pm #82361 John HoareParticipant …I think you know what I’m going to say now, dear. In fact, it’s so obvious, I don’t think I’m even going to say it. July 15, 2008 at 12:19 pm #82362 JoParticipant >Jo got him another. Well I didn’t actually *get* him another. We had an extra one when Ian and I had combined our collections. Also when we put our RD memorabilia together we had a spare Duane Bobblehead, so we gave it to Cappsy… and gave him the Duane bobblehead too. July 15, 2008 at 12:46 pm #82363 Ian SymesKeymaster Oh, so *I* got him another one? I’m excellent. July 15, 2008 at 12:51 pm #82364 JoParticipant No, he got mine, we kept yours. I am still the excellent one. :oD July 15, 2008 at 12:58 pm #82366 Jonathan CappsKeymaster Kids, kids… you’re BOTH excellent.
