Nice looking stuff, but DeviantArt is a bloody chore for attempting to read comics with. I’ll have a proper shufty later ;-)

Thanks guys! Gonna submit to the fan club mag… think it’s better than my old stuff.

I liked it. In fact I sent you a Note on DeviantArt expressing that much.

It reminds me a little too much of Pete Part Two, but it’s extremely well-drawn with some very nice dialogue.

This. I liked the Rimmer dialogue especially.

I think BTR could do with a comic strip again.

Yeah, I was going to suggest – you should definitely send it in to BTR, it would be great to have a decent-quality strip in there (and in colour, as well!)

If I could find an artist, I’d have turned some loose ideas into scripts… although it would mean throwing a bit more on the attempted-comics pile…

I started work on a comic strip in 2002. Did 5 pages, then my pen ran out.

Never finished it. Laziness is an awful beast.

I thought you already won a competition for that? :-)

    Zing!

Actually, I nearly wrote a 1-page Dwarf strip recently – a friend of mine was doing the “101 things in 1001 days” thing, and since she’s always been quite into drawing but never done it as much as she’d like, one was “draw a comic” – so I said I’d write one for her. I thought about doing something Dwarfy since she’s a fan of the show, but then the opportunity came up to submit something for a small-press zine that’s going to be sold at the San Diego Comic-Con. So we went for that.

I’d love to get some original comics on G&T one day, though. Sadly, there are a bajillion frustrated comics writers in the world, and rather fewer talented artists. I need to find one that I can chain to a drawing board in the basement and get to make my stuff look good.

    Well, actually…

I’m so amused! I uploaded the comic pages to my Facebook account, somebody tagged Danny John-Jules on the pages showing Cat, and he left a comment on it! *smug mode*

That was me. I hoped he would.

Really? I don’t like reading comics online but I’ve found DA is much easier to navigate and load as long as the next (and preferably previous) page is linked in the summary compared to, say, Marvel.com or Prelude to Nanarchy or various web comic sites.

I liked it, but it ended rather abruptly. Liked the subtle appearance of Hattie on the monitors!

    #98728

Yeah, I figured Norm has been a bit of an arse of late, so I put Hattie in as Holly…
