I’ll have a proper shufty later ;-) May 6, 2009 at 4:49 pm #98545 DessieParticipant Brilliant! May 6, 2009 at 9:10 pm #98548 hummingbirdParticipant Very nice indeed! May 7, 2009 at 9:36 am #98584 Kris ‘Drivaaar’ CarterParticipant Thanks guys! Gonna submit to the fan club mag… think it’s better than my old stuff. May 7, 2009 at 10:16 am #98589 Ben PaddonParticipant I liked it. In fact I sent you a Note on DeviantArt expressing that much. May 7, 2009 at 1:09 pm #98601 Pete Part ThreeParticipant It reminds me a little too much of Pete Part Two, but it’s extremely well-drawn with some very nice dialogue. May 7, 2009 at 5:17 pm #98605 hummingbirdParticipant > it?s extremely well-drawn with some very nice dialogue This. I liked the Rimmer dialogue especially. May 7, 2009 at 5:51 pm #98606 Danny StephensonKeymaster I think BTR could do with a comic strip again. May 7, 2009 at 6:07 pm #98607 Seb PatrickKeymaster Yeah, I was going to suggest – you should definitely send it in to BTR, it would be great to have a decent-quality strip in there (and in colour, as well!) If I could find an artist, I’d have turned some loose ideas into scripts… although it would mean throwing a bit more on the attempted-comics pile… May 7, 2009 at 7:14 pm #98611 siParticipant I started work on a comic strip in 2002. Did 5 pages, then my pen ran out. Never finished it. Laziness is an awful beast. May 7, 2009 at 7:34 pm #98613 AndrewParticipant > If I could find an artist, I?d have turned some loose ideas into scripts I thought you already won a competition for that? :-) May 7, 2009 at 10:05 pm #98616 Seb PatrickKeymaster Zing! Actually, I nearly wrote a 1-page Dwarf strip recently – a friend of mine was doing the “101 things in 1001 days” thing, and since she’s always been quite into drawing but never done it as much as she’d like, one was “draw a comic” – so I said I’d write one for her. I thought about doing something Dwarfy since she’s a fan of the show, but then the opportunity came up to submit something for a small-press zine that’s going to be sold at the San Diego Comic-Con. So we went for that. I’d love to get some original comics on G&T one day, though. Sadly, there are a bajillion frustrated comics writers in the world, and rather fewer talented artists. I need to find one that I can chain to a drawing board in the basement and get to make my stuff look good. May 7, 2009 at 10:58 pm #98620 Ben PaddonParticipant Well, actually… May 9, 2009 at 1:46 pm #98683 Kris ‘Drivaaar’ CarterParticipant I’m so amused! I uploaded the comic pages to my Facebook account, somebody tagged Danny John-Jules on the pages showing Cat, and he left a comment on it! *smug mode* May 9, 2009 at 10:27 pm #98706 DaveParticipant >I?m so amused! I uploaded the comic pages to my Facebook account, somebody tagged Danny John-Jules on the pages showing Cat, and he left a comment on it! *smug mode* That was me. I hoped he would. May 9, 2009 at 11:06 pm #98707 Ben PaddonParticipant Add me on Facebook, you big tranny. May 9, 2009 at 11:27 pm #98711 DaveParticipant >Add me on Facebook, you big tranny. Tranny John-Jules? May 10, 2009 at 7:46 am #98717 Ben PaddonParticipant Tranny Don-Jewels. May 10, 2009 at 3:15 pm #98715 RidleyParticipant Nice looking stuff, but DeviantArt is a bloody chore for attempting to read comics with. Really? I don’t like reading comics online but I’ve found DA is much easier to navigate and load as long as the next (and preferably previous) page is linked in the summary compared to, say, Marvel.com or Prelude to Nanarchy or various web comic sites. May 10, 2009 at 3:35 pm #98716 Stabbim the SkutterParticipant I liked it, but it ended rather abruptly. Liked the subtle appearance of Hattie on the monitors! May 10, 2009 at 3:53 pm #98728 Kris ‘Drivaaar’ CarterParticipant Yeah, I figured Norm has been a bit of an arse of late, so I put Hattie in as Holly… Author Replies Viewing 21 replies - 1 through 21 (of 21 total) Scroll to top • Scroll to Recent Forum Posts You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
