They could have done more with that idea and brought back Doc Newton or the Geoffrey Beevers one for a scene of Cat trying to pass himself off as a woman that would still likely be bad and possibly not age well, but could at least help to round out the series rather than isolating all those characters to Back in the Red. Cat dressed as a nurse scene is really saved by the punchline that he is doing the bed baths. It would have been so easy for Red Dwarf VIII to make it gendered joke, about female nurses or cross dressing Cat etc, but it’s just the fact Cat has to give a bed bath too some sic people that’s the joke.
