He had the mercy of a late birth. They can hit sometimes. May 22, 2026 at 11:52 am #321097 Ben SaundersParticipant Horns of Nimon is entertaining enough, but holy smokes what a pitiful realisation of a monster. Tepid direction on this one, many instances of people “whispering” loudly while right next to the person they don’t want overhearing them. The half-baked slapstick of everybody hiding from the Nimon in the computer room. Yeugh. May 22, 2026 at 5:49 pm #321118 Professor FlibbleParticipant Oh, for god’s sake. May 22, 2026 at 6:04 pm #321122 Flap JackParticipant Well if someone on Reddit said it, then it must be true! (Also this should probably be in the “Russell Two Davies” thread.) May 22, 2026 at 6:09 pm #321123 Professor FlibbleParticipant Well if someone on Reddit said it, then it must be true! I get the feeling it’s not being released on there at all. Don’t they have a history of ditching things like this without any word? Also this should probably be in the “Russell Two Davies” thread. Oh, fair enough. It was particularly egregious when they re-posted RTD promoting his new show Tip Toe and said it was “wilfully to the exclusion of everything else”. Like damn I don’t like him either and I do think it’s strange that we haven’t heard anything yet but the man does do other things, let him talk about something else for one damn post. Yeah, it absolutely sucks that there’s nothing new happening with the show atm, but I guess the plan must’ve always been to make the special like they used to, film it in August/September and have a modest post-production period. I sort of wish they’d indicated that sooner rather than later. I think a lot of people want the special to be quite small-scale, but if the show continues afterwards, it needs to do a big soft-reboot, not lean into fanwank so much. Therefore, I want Paul McGann and Matt Smith to appear in this year’s Christmas special. Some people are saying Myth Makers, some are saying Space Pirates May 22, 2026 at 7:22 pm #321132 Ben SaundersParticipant I’d take Myth Makers, because I’ve watched the Space Pirates recon and it really doesn’t do much for me May 22, 2026 at 7:27 pm #321133 Professor FlibbleParticipant Nothing to say it can’t be both. Could be separate teams doing them. Well, I mean, they’re going to be doing them all eventually.
