Seeing as the fundamental laws of physics, as they stand right now, show that travelling back in time is impossible, it’s unlikely that this woman/man is from the future…

However, if they were, they could be using a radio of some kind, communicating with their time-travelling craft orbiting the Earth. It couldn’t be a normal cellphone because there were obviously no networks then, no masts.

Of course, it’s just a hearing aid. They did look like cellphones in those days.
