I used a darkroom once, on the same primary school college trip that I tried the internet for the first time. Some of those students had a bright career ahead of them.

That last one reminds me of when I took the parents to see him live for their Christmas presents (not my cup of tea but generally fine) and mentioned it on FB. For MONTHS afterwards I kept getting adverts showing photos of him with badly photoshopped bruises and missing teeth with headlines like “The Michael McIntyre joke that he’ll regret for life!” and “Michael McIntyre joke goes too far!” etc. I’d also had these adverts featuring a shoddily-duffed-up Clarkson and Piers Morgan, some even implying they’d died from their injuries.

It’s a weird subgenre of spam/suspicious links, “you either hate or love this person so click this link to read about them being beaten to death”.

Reminiscent of that “here’s the stars of Red Dwarf” thumbnail from a year or two ago showing Chris Barrie in a wheelchair and without legs.

If this stuff didn’t generate clicks, it wouldn’t get made though.
