A Brief History of Cross-Promotion News Posted by Ian Symes on 14th November 2012, 12:14 You know how we always post front page news stories about every little project a member of the Red Dwarf cast is involved in? And how we always talk in enthusiastic detail about forthcoming sci-fi/comedy shows that claim to be influenced by Dwarf? Well, we just wanted to let you all know about A Brief History of Time Travel – a forthcoming audio sitcom series that stars Robert Llewellyn as The Narrator. Having been on Kickstarter for barely a fortnight, the project has now reached it’s fairly hefty target of £3000, which ensures that the series will be made in full next year. The writers, James Hunt and… oh, wow, look! It’s co-written by Seb Patrick, former G&T staff and current writer of reddwarf.co.uk! There’s a coincidence. Anyway, the writers are still after a few more quid to make the show even better, and it’s well worth buying a series pass for the show in advance, and you may as well pick up the tie-in book too. Over on the Kickstarter page, you can hear a little sample sketch featuring the main cast: Jon Shaw, Henry Imbert, Joanna Elliot and… oh my goodness! Look who else is in it! It’s Ian Symes, that guy who’s writing this news story right now! But seriously, nepotism and self-interest aside, getting Robert on board is a genuinely massive coup, and I’m delighted to be a part of it. It will absolutely be worth following the project, and eventually downloading six episodes of timey-wimey joy.
