Listened to all of them over the last week while decorating. I know it might seem odd but Krytie TV is my personal favourite and most entertaining. I say this because there was some great debate, analysis and anger! :-) Unlike commentaries for episodes between I-VI where I’m sure we can agree that for the most part they are excellent VII and VIII just raise more talking/arguing points. Also less gaps where it’s just listening to you laughing. Anyway, my reason for posting is to request for you to do commentaries for more of the VII and VIII episodes for this reason. :-) One point you missed in the Tikka commentary is that the missing audience, film effect, comedy drama style and different CGI could also be down to Doug looking to sell the movie via the series. In particular the American style story of Tikka to appeal to US audiences and studios. Looking forward to the next Dwarf Cast! More VIII commentaries with everyone winding up John would be right up my street. February 4, 2012 at 9:22 pm #114918 Stephen R. FletcherParticipant I would also love to hear more commentaries on VII/VIII. I think some of the remastered eps and The End: The Original Assembly would make an interesting listen too. February 4, 2012 at 9:27 pm #114919 mrpezzerParticipant Agreed! Was watching ‘The End’ original assembly today with Doug and Rob’s commentary and thought exactly the same. Remastered would also be funny and might even help me get through them all as yet I can barely watch one episode. February 4, 2012 at 9:32 pm #114920 Stabbim the SkutterParticipant I can just barely tolerate Remastered if I have the “What’s Changed?” subtitles on. It’s like having a text-based friend there to suffer with you. February 4, 2012 at 9:35 pm #114921 Jonathan CappsKeymaster I like you, mtprezzer. We actually recorded a commentary for Cassandra a few years ago (under the impression that it wasn’t that bad) and the resulting experience was so depressing and low energy that it was utterly unusable. We definitely intend to do more commentaries (and The Original Assembly is high on our list!) so hopefully we can muster the mental strength required for some VII and VIII ones. February 4, 2012 at 9:54 pm #114926 mrpezzerParticipant Haha… thanks! Seeing you guys at recordings 5 & 6 recently got me coming back to the site again and finally registering. I did hear you mention in one commentary that you tried to do Cassandra. I had a similar experience going back to the episode. It’s the best of a bad bunch, being more IV – VI in story, with only a few great dialogue scenes making it stand out in my memory. I have to disagree with you guys concerning VII however. Personally I think the last couple of episodes (Epideme and Nanarchy) are by far the best being much lower in budget and a script more in the true original style of Dwarf. …of course this is only MY opinion and what makes discussing later Dwarf so much fun. Agreed tho that for a podcast (sorry, Dwarfcast) to work you need people on both sides for a good debate. Though an episode consisting entirely of you telling the screen the FUCK OFF and people CUNTS would make me laugh. :-) February 4, 2012 at 10:31 pm #114930 pfmParticipant You seriously want to make the guys watch Nanarchy again???? :O Nah, it’d be great if all 61 (according to Sheldon) episodes were eventually accounted for. A BITR hourlong would be ideal. February 4, 2012 at 11:00 pm #114932 JamesTCParticipant Do a commentary on your ‘Krytie TV’ commentary. February 4, 2012 at 11:26 pm #114933 ori-STUDFARMParticipant Do a Commentary on Scuttercasts ‘Krytie TV’ episode. February 5, 2012 at 8:08 am #114941 MANI506Participant Yep, looking forward to more Dwarfcasts as and when. Most of the issues surrounding VII were covered in the excellent Tikka cast. I suggest you all get pissed up on cider 2006 style and do one for Pete part one and two (yes, including re caps) to properly vent some spleen regarding series VIII. February 5, 2012 at 8:10 am #114942 MANI506Participant I agree Epideme is a good episode. Under rated might be pushing it a bit but a Dwarfcast on this one would be good also. February 5, 2012 at 1:54 pm #114949 John HoareParticipant I don’t think we’ve been drunk in charge of a Dwarfcast since I pissed everyone off by shouting drunkenly about BTE in 2009. February 5, 2012 at 1:59 pm #114950 Danny StephensonKeymaster That made for a very interesting Dwarfcast to be fair. What a crazy three days that was.
