Yesterday, I was at HMV and saw this:

(Don’t know about you, but I do think the artwork is rubbish)

On the back cover, one of the few new extras listed is “New Commentaries by Graham Linehan and Arthur Mathews”. I wondered if that was an error and they meant the Series 3 commentaries, but it turns out there’s now new commentaries for Series 1 & 2!

I would’ve bought it for that alone if I could afford it, even though I have the other box set. But thankfully, I just found out that you can download the commentaries for free on itunes! Hooray!

How does this differ from the collection boxset they put out a couple of years ago, other than the additional commentaries? Is it worth picking up if you (I) already have the previous box set?

From what I remember from looking at the back of the case, I believe the only other new features in this box set are some more art work and the ‘Small, Far Away’ Doccumentary that aired a couple years ago.

If I couldn’t get the new commentaries for free (and didn’t already have a download of the docco), I probably would buy or wait for the price to go down.

Can’t find them. Have you got a link to the commentaries? I bought the definitive box set just for the series 3 commentary.

I typed in “Father Ted Commentaries” in itunes on my iPod and they just showed up. I just tried google search and it should be the first thing you see –

(Sorry, I’m not so savvy with coding and that sort of thing)

    Hope it works for you!

Wow, then that’s pretty much all the new extras available for free anyway! I’m surprised they didn’t also include the Unintelligent Design documentary.
