Does anyone know of any differences, swapped jokes, references, etc., in the German novels for “Roter Zwerg”?

I suspect the main difference would be the language.

That aside, no, sorry, I don’t know. I’m just being a difficult cunt for (alleged) comedic effect.

Rimmer survived the accident instead of Lister because he got down to the stasis booth first thing in the morning and laid his towel over it.

I’m thinking of buying the book for a German friend, so am curious about this.

There was a queue to enter the captain’s office but, like any self respecting German, Lister pushed in at the front.

Hey, now, Germans have had a hard time, too. Let’s never forget to be nice to Germans sometimes

They probably took out that joke about death being like going on holiday with Germans. Actually, no, knowing them they probably kept it in.

The bit where the Nazis invade Red Dwarf and mutilate the crew isn’t as censored with that drive-plate bullshit.
