I watched last night an independent film that’s been doing the circuit of film festivals, and is therefore art school rather than popcorn multiplex. Tim Spall Plays every part in it. It’s the bizarre world of a incinerated mental patient. Called. Stanley a man of variety.

He’s delusional visions include him playing characters Peter Sellers and Marty Feldman and Alistair sim played in films, as well as versions of Tony Hancock, Max miller, George Formby & (one time waxwork) Noel Coward. A few lesser remembered stars from black and white film days.

Not a great comedy, or story, but I was impressed with his range of attempted portrayals. Best one being Max Wall.
