(Even if it does force you to emphasize those annoying, pointless little details like character, dialogue and acting ability.) The entire film is available in one big chunk on Youtube…and I thought I might draw attention to it in case anyone is interested. It’s a Richard Linklater film from 1991 and I’ll admit I haven’t seen it in many years…so my opinion of it is probably enhanced by the optimism of nostalgia. But it IS very much worth watching, and though the vignettes are hit and miss there’s an awful lot that any writer or artist should be able to learn from the experiment. The overall quality may be debatable, but there’s no question that it is a work of art.
