Two companies I follow on Facebook Chinbeard Books & A UK Entertainment, are a bit like big finish once were etc  … (this post relates Rob Grant info…)

For example I follow them because they are making The Goodies. Short Novella books that look like dr who target books and are based on a final series of ideas of a revived audio series for the super chaps three. Tim, Bill & Graham only managed “The Big Ben Theory” on Audible before Tim sadly died, So the planned audio series has been adapted into book thus far “Avengers Disassembled” & “Pods & Monsters” has continued The Goodies adventures with “The National Mistrust” due soon. I also enjoyed an audio CD revival of Chelmsford 123. These companies also do things like a dr who fan book about aces jacket, and adaptations of Robin of Sherwood and The tomorrow people and more such. 


Barnaby Eaton Jones is one of the creatives involved and I’ve just read a tribute post from him about his recent involvement in emails with Rob Grant and also Mike Tucker in which he revealed talks surrounding both the possibility of a behind the scenes Red Dwarf FX book… and second to this early discussion and praise for Rob Grants “Incompetence” novel which was in considerations for a full cast audio adaptation at one of these companies. Something that Rob hadn’t yet got around to further development on due to completing work on Titan. At this point in time it’s not yet the time to know if or how these ideas might continue in legacy.
