Not bad, I reckon.

This is an absolute bargain for those of us in the US. It’s probably not a bad deal for the UK/Europe regulars either, but you’d need to have a multi-region DVD player.

Naughty region 0 DVD code. I have it on mine so I can play Mallrats and Clerks the animated series.

Well I’ve bought DVDs which have been wrongly imported into the country with the wrong region codes. They stated they were Region 2 on the box, but they weren’t.

And plus, not enough anime gets to the UK on its own. Codes are a necessary evil.

Does anyone know of a way to make PS3’s region 0?

I have a Region X program for my PS2 which I can use to set it to other regions. I’d think PS3s would have an equivalent? In fact the earlier versions of PS3 might be able to use the PS2 version.

Of course that costs money but they’re pretty cheap.

Alas, it’s not compatible with the way the PS3 handles region encoding.
