I really like Rimmer’s multiple attempts at “She was great she thought I was great”. Some excellent face pulling. October 31, 2007 at 2:03 pm #125323 Paul MullerParticipant “I think I’m on fire….F**** I am!” October 31, 2007 at 2:07 pm #125322 John HoareParticipant There are so many… but the bazookoid getting stuck in the door from Out Of Time is right up there. Also, the cast turning to camera and doing stupid faces from The Inquisitor. Especially Jack Docherty returning the two fingers. October 31, 2007 at 2:11 pm #125325 AndrewParticipant The Series VI ‘bogey flick’. It’s a moment that shows you just how well that cast can work as a team, insticitively feeding off one-another. October 31, 2007 at 2:13 pm #125326 Pete Part ThreeParticipant I’m not keen on bloopers at all (HA HA LOOK SOMETHING WENT WRONG!!111) but I do like Chris Barrie doing that weird down-the-camera look and sticking his tongue out from Smeg Ups. I guess Chris falling off the chair in Back to Reality is mildly amusing too. Gotta be Noel Edmonds… * Sorry, that should have read “Gotta be Smeg Ups”. When they’re even remastering stuff that went wrong, you know something is amiss. October 31, 2007 at 2:40 pm #125327 pennyParticipant > The Series VI ?bogey flick?. It?s a moment that shows you just how well that cast can work as a team, insticitively feeding off one-another. Dam it! you stole my fav… Hmmm…what about the one where Craig eats a big bogey and then says he’s leaving the other nostril’s bogey for later…”This was just the starter and this is going to be the main course”. Rob then in the background says “What we don’t want to know is where the dessert is” or something like that. October 31, 2007 at 2:42 pm #125328 pennyParticipant > The Series VI ?bogey flick?. When did they change that? Haven’t seen that version! I love the way that all the cast seem really familiar with the Smeg Ups in the DVD commentaries. They’ve obviously watched them a fair few times themselves. I love Rob’s “Oh Mr Guitar” bit and also Craig’s attempts at Golf… October 31, 2007 at 2:51 pm #125330 Pete Part ThreeParticipant >When did they change that? Haven?t seen that version! The Smeg Ups/Outs compliation on Red Dwarf Night. Bizarre re-recording of Danny’s off the cuff remark. October 31, 2007 at 4:12 pm #125332 PhilParticipant >?Oh Mr Guitar? That’d be mine, too. October 31, 2007 at 4:13 pm #125333 AndrewParticipant > Bizarre re-recording of Danny?s off the cuff remark. You’ll be able to spot the difference on the Just the Smegs DVD – comparing the original Smeg Ups version to the Broadcast Edition. It’s clear why it was done, though, despite the oddness of doing it. It’s the first outtake of the special, shown before the titles. It kinda sets up what’s to come. October 31, 2007 at 4:14 pm #125334 pfmParticipant The Chris one that Jimbotfu mentioned is a really good one. For me a couple of the funniest ones are when no-one says anything for a looong time like the red alert gag one, Rimmer – ‘there’s always some excuse isn’t there!’ cuts to Craig and Danny completely oblivious to the fact that one of them has a line next. I like that it goes to complete silence before anyone realises. The other one is where Rimmer is saying to Cat ‘the only warning we’ve got is you, so stay alert’ and Danny says nothing. October 31, 2007 at 4:26 pm #125335 John HoareParticipant “Anything else coming, Mr. Cat?” October 31, 2007 at 4:36 pm #125336 BazParticipant I prefer the subtle humour of “I’ve cacked me pants”, with “There’s a bag of chips in it for ya!” coming a close second. October 31, 2007 at 4:50 pm #125337 John HoareParticipant We are pathetic. October 31, 2007 at 9:14 pm #125347 Ben PaddonParticipant “I’m a little biddy” always gets a smile from me. October 31, 2007 at 10:14 pm #125352 TheLeenParticipant People falling off chairs in Back to Reality. Because the scene is totally ridiculous to start with. And then he falls off the chair ON TOP OF THAT. HAHAHAHAHA. But if I’d watch them again now, I’d probably find loads more things just as funny (I just don’t remember them right now). Last time I watched the Smeg Outs/Ups was… well, pre-DVD. November 1, 2007 at 12:25 am #125358 Jason aka Smeg4BrainsParticipant > I prefer the subtle humour of ?I?ve cacked me pants Thats my favorite as well…its just so random. November 1, 2007 at 2:53 pm #125382 Mr FlibbleParticipant Y’know, I reckon Jimbotfu is Andrew, and this is all a ruse to promote Just The Smegs – out 19 November kids! November 1, 2007 at 3:04 pm #125384 AnonymousGuest I’m not! But I am new. Hello everyone.x November 1, 2007 at 3:49 pm #125385 AndrewParticipant He is, actually. :-) November 1, 2007 at 4:07 pm #125386 AnonymousGuest There’s only one way to find out which one of us is real. Play the guitar! November 1, 2007 at 6:19 pm #125393 AndrewParticipant What, here? Inside? November 1, 2007 at 6:20 pm #125395 Danny StephensonKeymaster Play it… November 1, 2007 at 6:29 pm #125397 AndrewParticipant …I’ll leave my air guitar solo to your imaginations. Good luck NOT HAVING NIGHTMARES. November 2, 2007 at 12:18 am #125402 pfmParticipant > We are pathetic. And Andrew is accused of self-promotion. I haven’t seen that for a while. Reminds me what bastards you are for doing something so good and winning like the lashed together meccano gimboids you are! November 2, 2007 at 1:02 am #125407 Jonathan CappsKeymaster It’s really odd watching back to Smeg Ups and the Making Of for that weekend, as it was the start of SO much more than just the film. November 2, 2007 at 1:12 am #125409 Mr FlibbleParticipant And on the original tapes, you can even see all the in jokes!
