Wow, still? Doesn’t this thing surface on ebay an average of twice a year?

Not that I’m saying it wasn’t worth a link, Cliff. I’m just amazed at how frequently that same item gets listed. Is nobody in the world interested in buying it?

    Let’s have a whip-round.

    >Wow

    THE ONE AND ONLY
    WoW

So many mistakes so little time, but this has to be my favourite:

THE SUIT COMES PROFENSSINALLY FRAMED BY UK GOLD

EVEN DANNY SAY’S TO SMEGAZINE WHEN ASKED IF HE HAD ANY OFF THE CUSTUOMS

…..so is it genuine then?……..not sure why some collector hasn’t bought it by now if it keeps propping up…???.

The Holly grail of Red Dwarf?

    Deliberate mistake?

Wonder where this came from in the first place? Given away as a prize in a UK Gold competition perhaps?

*edit* Ah, yes…I see that this is explained in the listing. Gave up reading the details after the 50th spelling error.

Not to mention the smaller picture is from Series VII, and a totally different red jacket(which i own) to the one shown It has been listed many times and actually been posted on co.uk forum for sale. It’s still quite expensive to be honest.

Won “about ten years ago”? Really? REALLY? Despite the fact that the plaque thingy says “UKTV Gold”, and the channel has only been called that since 2004?

that you would accuse an ebay seller of being unscrupulous is just shocking.

A while ago I bought some proof of concept video covers that were refused by Doug Naylor (and have his annoyances scrawled on them in black marker).

They were for double video full series box-sets, series 1 to 6. Quite cool, but amusingly shit – photos are from the wrong series, etc. Think I remember him mentioning them in an interview once.

Most likely the Series VIII scriptbook intros where he talks about the BBC designers’ propensity for bad image choices, bad layouts and insistence on using the work ‘whacky’. (Stuff like that is the reason GNP did its own designs for all the DVDs.)

A few of these, or ones like them, went on sale at the last DJ. In fact, I think John went away with at least one of them…?

In fact, I think John went away with at least one of them??

Hanging above my VERY FACE is one of the test designs for the two VIII video covers. They’re not actually that bad – although Byte is spelt “Bite”. Oh, and the BBC logo has the letters misaligned within the boxes. Oh, and the first video has a “Section of Red Dwarf Smeg Ups” rather than s Selection…

I keep meaning to get it scanned in.

Thus giving it more time and attention than the makers managed…

    Oh good, it’s you… again!

Just found the thread on BTLi about this – I first spotted it back in Dec 2005.
I just can’t understand why his expert selling techniques haven’t worked!!!
It usually pops up every 6 months and the selling price varies wildly between ?350-1000. The seller seems to think if you don’t sell your item, you should relist it 6 months later at double the price.

THIS SUIT WAS VALUED AT ?1400 BY A REDDWARF WEB SITE, ITS A GREAT INVESTMENT

    Total Red Dwarf??

From a listing in March 2006…

I HAVE FOUND COSTUMES WORN BY HIM FOR APPROX, ?800 AND THE FAN CLUB HAS SAID THAT THIS IS WORTH THAT EASILY DUE TO HIM BEING REMEMBERED FOR HIS PINK SUIT, SO WHY NOT HAVE A FUTURE INVESTMENT

I think you are showing us why. Every six months or so.
