Now I have no idea if it’s rare or even worth anything, as I’ve never seen one and I can’t seem to find any others on the internet. I hope some of you guys know what it is as I’m rather excited to find out. June 18, 2018 at 2:22 pm #233070 Ben SaundersParticipant I’m so young I thought this was going to be about some extension or skin for Google Chrome June 18, 2018 at 2:30 pm #233073 Bargain Bin HollyBlocked I once saw that Starbug playset thing on ebay once back in 2013 but someone brought it before I could. That is all June 18, 2018 at 2:46 pm #233077 bloodtellerParticipant i bought that Starbug corgi model off eBay once. and that cost a fair bit, it was like £20 or something? and then the Starbug playsets were something insane like £300, which is quite a big cost. so i never bothered buying one June 18, 2018 at 3:06 pm #233083 GlenTokyoParticipant That Starbug playset was £40 when it came out wasn’t it? It’s alright but Christ, the values of things that are ever so slightly rare is ridiculous. I saw a broken one for £150 on my Red Dwarf saved search. Its the same with the corgi ones. The one with Starbug, Red Dwarf and the figures has people asking for like £80 or something, they were cheap, I remember getting quite a few because they were a few quid from a Forbidden Planet or something about 10 years ago. I don’t believe they’re that rare, I bet there’s a load in a warehouse somewhere too. June 18, 2018 at 3:08 pm #233084 DaveParticipant I’m so young I thought this was going to be about some extension or skin for Google Chrome It applies a film effect to your browser and removes the laugh track. June 18, 2018 at 4:06 pm #233096 Flap JackParticipant You don’t want to know how much The Bodysnatcher Collection playset is going for on ebay. June 18, 2018 at 4:25 pm #233101 bloodtellerParticipant it’s $42 at CeX June 18, 2018 at 4:56 pm #233110 GlenTokyoParticipant That bodysnatcher playset was shit. Just some firedamaged hair in a bag. Seriously though Bodysnatcher is £40 on eBay (except for some pillock charging £90 because he’s supposedly never watched it, and as we all know if you buy a DVD someone else has watched, it’s not as good /s) which is reasonable. I don’t think £40 is bad for bodysnatcher. A high quality piece of entertainment. June 18, 2018 at 7:11 pm #233125 International DebrisParticipant Didn’t it cost that much new anyway? June 18, 2018 at 7:38 pm #233129 Flap JackParticipant £40 isn’t too expensive to justify a purchase of 3 series of Red Dwarf with a heap of great extras (even if the episodes themselves are the worse versions), but it’s still very expensive. The Bodysnatcher Collection came out over 10 years ago, and I’ve no idea what it’s original RRP was, but getting a used copy now has got to be as expensive now as a new copy was in November 2007, after you could get it for less than £15 new in 2011. That’s… not good. Also, you can get the individual Series 1-3 DVDs (which have the definitive versions of the episodes, with just as many – though different – extras) for just £2.50 collectively from CeX. You could literally buy Series 1, 2 and 3 almost 17 times for the price of 1 Bodysnatcher Collection! So sure, there’s obviously pricier RD merch out there, but Bodysnatcher is definitely up there as far as DVDs go. June 18, 2018 at 7:55 pm #233132 GlenTokyoParticipant It’s original RRP was £49.99, so it’s come down £10-15 depending on what deal you can get on eBay. Still a lot of money but these kind of boxsets don’t depreciate as bad anyway even without a warehouse fire. Itd be nice if they released them digitally though to give people the choice. June 18, 2018 at 10:09 pm #233145 Pete Part ThreeParticipant One would hope that the extras (which is the reason that The Bodysnatcher Collection was worthwhile as the Series 1,2 docs are great) get ported to the Blu-ray. June 18, 2018 at 10:22 pm #233146 DaveParticipant Yep. I’m hoping the BR set will effectively replace everything on DVD so far. June 18, 2018 at 10:43 pm #233149 Piplup2003Participant I really want to get the Bodysnatcher Collection, just the £40 price tag puts me off. June 18, 2018 at 11:12 pm #233152 Flap JackParticipant I guess at this point you might as well wait for the Blu-ray set just to see if it’s a better alternative. June 19, 2018 at 6:51 am #233166 DaveParticipant You can pick up Bodysnatcher for less than that if you keep your eyes open, around £30 usually. June 19, 2018 at 12:18 pm #233178 dayne97wightmanParticipant Thabks for all of your replies, not the best news but still a good collectors item!
