If you’ve ever seen Star Trek Continues, you would know it’s possibly the most accurate fanfilm series ever made. The sets, costumes and effects make it look like it could have been made back during the original shows runnin the 60’s.

So, that got me wondering, what would the ultimate Red Dwarf fanfilm series be? So, if you had the resources and time to make your dream Red Dwarf fanfilm, what would it be?

There’s loads of scope to explore the Red Dwarf universe without needing to feature the main cast though, so that would be interesting, and I’d like to see that, maybe a different tone.

I’d do something a bit different by gathering the original cast and making a 90-minute film starring the guys as fictitious versions of themselves, called Out Of The Red, based on some cobbled-together plot about a worldwide conspiracy. That should work.
