All the pics being posted in Gwynnie’s thread made me think that this could be an interesting/amusing thread.

Post a very recent pic of you and one from 10 years ago…

(I’m off to find a pic of me from 1999!)

But I was nearly sick in my mouth browsing through that thread.

You’d all feel the same if you saw pictures of me from ten years ago, the hapless, chubby, nearly-aware teenager that I was.

The best I can do is 2002…

I’m the one on the left, in the denim jacket that is still my primary jacket.

    And more recently:

2nd time lucky. I’ll just use links, save resizing this time and all that bum-fluff…

I don’t have any earlier pictures of me on the computer (and I can’t be bothered scanning them in. Or photoing the, er, photos with my digital camera.) Here’s a dreadful picture taken from a company anniversary party in 2001. Back when I was employed…

    Oh dear.
I’m the twat with the glasses on the left. Caught when I’m doing something stupid with my mouth. (I swear, I’m not wearing lipstick.)In our defence we were a bit drunk. That bloke in the middle (named Ian) isn’t as camp as he looks.

Me at Berkeley square earlier this year.

    Ok. I’m being silly.

Anyway a closer picture. My Avatar, but… bigger. . Borrowed from G&T’s Twitter feed from the event. (Hope that’s ok, it was of me.)
    Me At Berkeley Square
Click for a bigger version if it doesn’t scare you. I’ve noticed that silly blue hat is off centre.

Actually that’s the cropped version of the photo. Dave (I think) was in it too, but I didn’t want to stick it up here without his permission. (I’d just met him a few seconds earlier.) That piece of paper I’m cuddling was a fan-club leaflet handed to me by Jo a few minutes earlier.

It took me a long time to find half decent photos of me as I tend to be more than a bit camera shy.
Naturally, my scanner is completely failing to acknowledge the existence of my laptop, so I’m afraid the older ones are photos of photos, hence the poor quality. Also the fact that I couldn’t be arsed to photoshop.

Those of a nervous disposition are advised to look away from the screen …. NOW.

Me in roughly 1989 – young, fresh-faced and wild of hair.

1997 – apologies for the gruesome tartan ensemble.

New Year’s Eve 2007: a big group of us did the medieval banquet thing – it was a hell of a lot more fun than it sounds.
Here’s me and the girls. I’m the one on the left.

This was my son messing around with the camera a few months ago.
You can tell that I wasn’t amused.
