In my opinion, it even surpasses the original Zelda theme. And certainly one of the most talented individuals, too. Thank you for that; it was gorgeous. If you haven’t heard the Mario Zelda Big Band version of the same song, check it out. It’s much longer and jammed out, and absolutely brilliant. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibkZdr-YPvo At least as highly recommended is their rendition of the Dragon Roost Island theme from the same game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EyPyjprGvW0&feature=related I love Wind Waker. The music in that game is almost too good. January 19, 2009 at 11:18 am #89119 Danny StephensonKeymaster I’ve not played much Zelda, but that music really is gorgeous isn’t it? January 19, 2009 at 4:16 pm #89128 pfmParticipant Though IMO Twilight Princess didn’t have the same standard of music set in past games it still had this utter gem – http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Pt9vjwBfXUE Of course, it’s just adapted from the main theme (which IS great). Though aside from that theme and it’s various incarnations there’s not much else. Wind Waker had glorious music (and YES a fucking fantastic game, anyone who thinks otherwise never actually played it properly so piss you) January 20, 2009 at 5:42 am #89176 Ben PaddonParticipant I loved Wind Waker. It is, without a doubt, the finest of the 3D Zelda games. January 20, 2009 at 2:38 pm #89197 SomebodyParticipant > I loved Wind Waker. It is, without a doubt, the finest of the 3D Zelda games. I beg to differ. For me, it was a complete slog, and the worst of the three-and-a-half I’ve played (Not played Majora’s Mask, counting Phantom Hourglass as the half). *also not a fan of the WW title theme. Although it’s better than the OoT title theme, I suppose.* December 19, 2011 at 3:22 pm #113723 RidleyParticipant I listen to Wind Waker Unplugged fairly regularly. >How far did you get into Skyward Sword, Phil? I have a few misgivings about it, but I’ve been impressed so far. Admittedly not very far. I lost interest rather quickly I think, and the experience just wasn’t fun enough for me to want to continue. I’d get into specifics but I don’t want to rain on anybody’s parade (or further derail the thread…I’d be up for discussing it more thoroughly in a Skyward Sword thread, if anyone wanted to make one)…suffice it to say that the guidance is overbearing, the amount of dialogue was overshadowing interactivity by what felt like a factor of ten, and the motion controls were utter garbage. imho, of course. I hate motion controls (and I prefer my Links left-handed), but got used to Skyward Sword’s somewhere between the second and third dungeons. It may be because I’m playing on and off but Fi’s nagging doesn’t seem to happen that often anymore.
