However, did Kryten not say the more logical ‘I don’t believe it’ because it would have clashed with the popular BBC sitcom ‘One Foot in the Grave’? Both shows were on air at the time in 1996 and it’s highly possible that Doug didn’t use that phrase as it would remind viewers of Victor Meldrew. Thoughts?
