Cheese and egg for me. Its the melting goo that transforms the toast into a soft face crammer.

    >Nutella.

You too? My mother thinks the stuff’s disgusting but I find Nutella on toast to be one of the yummiest things I’ve ever eaten. (In fact, I’ll be in need of another jar soon…)

Any anyone tried to toast malt loaf before? I call it meltloaf.

If it’s home made Bramble Jelly (I still prefer to call it Blackberry Jam)I’m with Cappsy…

On the other hand Marmite is probably my favourite and Strawberry Jam with sharp cheese takes some beating…

Oh yes. The trouble is, it tastes differently in the States. And they don’t prononunce it “Nuh-tella,” either – they pronounce it “Noo-tella”. Tch.

It tastes different because they pronounce it wrong…

Yes, it’s delicious, crunchy on the ouside, warm and gooey on the inside, dripping with melting butter.

Otherwise cheese and fried egg. Chutney and chilli sauce optional.

Funny, I’ve always pronounced it the first way. But then, I haven’t run into very many other people who like it, so I figured out the pronunciation more or less by myself.

The point is, it’s absolute heaven on toast.

Does the cheese cease to be grated once it has melted, though?

I think the cheese remembers being grated. Homeopathic cheese…

Grated cheese gives a more even spread over the bread when melted.

What about the best biscuits for cheese? Digestives all the way.

Boil up some cabage with a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda, drain and put into a toastie with mature cheddar cheese, tis awesome.

That sounds amazing. I reckon I’d prefer it with spinach, mind, but I’ve got to try that.
