I’m not the only one who was singled out, there was Lily in the other thread, too. I don’t think BDTS deserves being ganged up on either just because he doesn’t agree with you. What is it with the bully mentality here? I don’t even argree with some of that stuff he was saying but I’m not asshole about it. Some people here go on about inappropriate language and being offensive and all of that while at the same time they’re actually acting way worse to others. WAY worse. You don’t need to tell people what they can and can’t say, as long as they aren’t purposefully going out of their way to offend others it shouldn’t matter. Why attack people all the time so viciously?

lol, well, in that case I’m Sarah. I’m older than I look so I’ve been watching Red Dwarf since the 90s but, like, mostly on video back then (the first series I saw on TV was series 5 which will always be my favourite, there are just too many great episodes in 5). I’m a massive Whovian if youre into labels on fandom, too. Just got through with a post grad in creative writing. I do a bit of modelling too.

Dave Wallace: Nah, not really, it’s only a couple of moments in scenes. The episode is easily my second fav of the series, though. Samsara being number one of course ;-)

Dave Wallace: Probably fair to say that if the Snacky reveal was later then they’d probably have rewritten the rest to fit too.

KyoSo: And that’s kinda my point I s’pose, that it didn’t really feel like a payoff at all, like it had no impact where I think if it had been built up and left for a longer reveal so that we were discovering it along with the crew (yes obviously other parts would have to be rewritten too), then it would’ve been a much greater payoff. Still love this episode tho.

Give and Take’s one of my favourites from the last series! But kinda agree about Captain Bollox, just wasn’t very funny, like a series 8 line. I didn’t mind the Snacky reveal, but it was just sort of there and there was no real pay off.

That’s pretty much what I kinda thought, that it was all shot on video. Still be pretty cool to find out how they’re gonna go about remastering it for blu ray.
