#Happy Deathday to Meeeeeee… News Posted by John Hoare on 6th April 2008, 22:32 Our fifth anniversary! Well, actually it was on April 4th. And that was only one of the relaunches of the site anyway, not its first incarnation – the launch date of which is long lost in the mists of time. (There are some numbers next to it… but they could be anything.) But we couldn’t bear to let this moment go completely, even though it’s WRONG and we’re LATE. We’ve got a little article planned soon, which does a bit of the old reminiscing thing – but for now, as pathetic and as cliched as it is, we’d like to thank you lot for sticking around. You really are what makes the site worth doing. We love you all. Even performingmonkey. Now fuck off, the lot of you.
Happy kind-of somewhat anniversary thing to you too! For what it’s worth–which may be nothing, I admit–this is probably the longest I’ve ever *actively* stuck with a specific online community. There have been certain forums and groups I’ve visited almost as long as I’ve had internet access, but for better or worse, this is the only one I’ve consistently posted to, and the reason for that is the great group of people who keep the news items and discussions interesting. (I’m disregarding Ian here for obvious reasons.) Didn’t tonguetied and Matt get together to bake you guys a cake?
Hoppy boffday indeed. So from left to right, who’s them sorry sons of bitches on the special birthday banner?x
I’ve dipped in and out of the site for some time now, but it wasn’t until last year I decided to register on the forum. Ours lives were inexplicably changed forever. Or something.
> So from left to right, who?s them sorry sons of bitches on the special birthday banner?x Danny, Me, Ian, John, Tanya, Seb
Also, happy birthday! I found the site a few weeks after it was launched. There was something about a fake Series III DVD cover that got me hooked.
Happy birthday. I joined here relatively recently (as in last year) although I’ve been registered on the official site for years.
> Even performingmonkey D’you know, I’m not even gonna respond to that. In fact…no no wait yes, I WILL respond but only because I just wanted to say that over the years I have come to regard you as…twats who run a Red Dwarf fansite. Anyway, happy b-day (and yes I DO mean the thing you wash your arse with).
Congratulations all round. Although the new G&T banner up top looks like a 2003 meeting of John Hoare and a young Peter Kay.
It started in 2003 with 2 men. And by 2008 they had given birth to all those in the right picture. Now that’s what i call fantastic homosexuality!
That would certainly explain mine and John’s relative sizes – we were still incubating Phil and Austin.

Nah, you see those bags on the 2003 picture, they bought the embryos in an attempt to grow new people to take on the heavy work that was required. They planned ahead really well!!
So, let?s get this straight. This man came among us and preached the word of Dwarf to the masses, his mission to create a world dedicated to his beliefs! Having been killed off, he rose again on or around the 4th April and thus Ganymede and Titan went forth attracting followers for evermore. Are you sure you just haven?t mixed this up with another story that happens around this time of year? Chocolate egg anyone?

Are you sure you just haven?t mixed this up with another story that happens around this time of year? Ah, that age old story of visitation, persecution, resurrection and ascension. E.T. is a brilliant film.
I’ve just realised I’m wearing the EXACT same clothes today as I am in that photograph. No-one’s gonna survive to tell that story…
