Filming to begin on the 30th January, now. Definitely. Oh yes. News Posted by Jonathan Capps on 16th January 2009, 21:20 Thanks to the ever reliable combined scoop machine of Bobby Llew’s Twitter feed and our very own forum (thanks to SoundableObject), we get news that filming on the specials is now due to start on the 30th Jan and *not* the 20th as was previously stated. So, does this mean there’s been a delay, or perhaps Robert mis-reported the previous date? Who knows, but we do know that Robert goes in for a make-up test next week and I’ll wager all the lint in my pockets that this will lead to some information and possibility pictures the following Friday on TOS. However, if this doesn’t happen, I wont be bitching and moaning like a spoilt child and will continue to wait patiently. Anyway, if you fancy wading through a tonne of messages consisting of one half of many conversations about electric cars in the hope that a Red Dwarf related snippet will soon arrive then you can follow Bobby’s Twitter.
I think it was just a case of an educated guess on Rob’s part, I assume he was just told late january. If you do read Rob’s twitter page it is very good, his argument about electric cars over hydrogen is very convincing, plus all the stuff about oil companies is eye opening.
His video on the Tesla that was put up on his you tube page today is very good, Top Gear was wrong about the Tesla. Sorry to be OT.
> I think it was just a case of an educated guess on Rob?s part, I assume he was just told late january. I doubt he’d ever give an exact date as part of an educated guess. He may have got it wrong, but it far more likely that filming has just been put back a bit to accommodate a bit extra pre-production, or something.
what suprised me was that he said he hadnt seen any scripts yet and that was on tuesday … i guess they wudnt need long to learn 2 episodes worth of material
I would – I’m crap at learning lines, a fact brought to everyone’s attention wheLee Cornes made it part of his set at DJ2002.
Bobby probably knew that he was starting work on the specials on the 20th but not exactly when they were filming. Maybe he’s just having fun with everyone and not setting much in stone. Surely they’ve all known their exact period of work for some time. That’s especially relevant to Craig Charles who obviously has a strict Coronation Street schedule.
thats a good point because the 20th fits in with the kryten make up thing next week so your probably rite that he meant production starts on the 20th with filming on the 30th
just readin craig charles funk and soul page hes doin a live show on the 31st .. dont spose that makes much difference to the recording
Oh bugger. So that’s any chance of making a studio recording out the window for me. I’m at a housewarming that weekend.
I remember when the Wii was first announced people were saying ‘it’s gonna be ?99!’ Nintendo were pushing how affordable it was going to be. No such luck. Though I SO wish I still had the Amstrad console. Not that it was much good but… If it was down to me I would still have EVERYTHING, but there’s this thing called Mum and something else called a ‘car boot sale’. Damn them!!
By comparison though, the Wii was cheaper than say the Xbox 360 (on release) but the PS3 was frigging ridiculous..
The wii beats the shit out of all the other consoles because it has Lego Batman. …What was this thread about again?…
> The wii beats the shit out of all the other consoles because it has Lego Batman. The 360 has something to say to you.
> The Tesla, now there is an electric car. whenever I hear that name I instantly think about Tesla Coils in C&C: Red Alert. Big, deadly towers that would electrocute your troops to death in a split second.
> whenever I hear that name I instantly think about Tesla Coils in C&C: Red Alert lol, you’re not the only one! There’s nothing more satisfying (NOTHING!!) than managing to sneak round the back so you can take out the power stations and power the fucking evil things down! Though when you play as the Soviets they always seem so crap unless the Allieds send about 3 troops at you (the second most satisfying thing ever is seeing an engineer get fried). They’re pretty crap against tanks though. And your power always seems to go low JUST as they send a big force at you and you have to sell buildings to get it back up. I’m trying to work out how many hours of my life I wasted on the Red Alert terrain editor…
