VIDEO: Berkeley Square Report Features Posted by Ian Symes on 10th April 2009, 14:50 A full video report from the Back To Earth event at Berkeley Square. Hooray! The wait is finally over – the most exciting bit of video you’ll see today is here. G&T reports from the Back To Earth event at Berkeley Square, featuring such delights as Red Dwarf dolly birds, confused old ladies, the cast being shouted at by drunks, and John Hoare’s face. Now, that should tide you over until 9pm, eh?
“Red Dwarf is a pussy, tell them from me.” Did I hear that right, or is it something that makes more sense?
It stops 51 seconds before t?end. What I?ve seen?s great, though. Refresh it, obviously. It was still doing some processing until about two minutes ago.
Did I hear that right, or is it something that makes more sense? To be honest, she did look like a bit of a mentalist…
Danny came across as kind of being a bit fed up with it all, especially when they were taking photos. Apart from the costume he didn’t do much in character either – his normal voice, unshaven… But it was a lot of fun :)
Brilliant work. Loved it. That was more like being in the right spots, than actually being in the park was. Shame about the fat bloke with the laptop who was useless and reported seeing nothing. A Pussy Hole? So, What is it? I’ve not seen one before, no one has, but I’m Agreeing she probably was a mentalist. No irony of shouting Pussy at a Cat! Well done Ian and John.
>Danny came across as kind of being a bit fed up with it all, especially when they were taking photos. Apart from the costume he didn?t do much in character either – his normal voice, unshaven? To be fair, it is a bit of an odd gig for them. There’s no script, it’s just stand-there, mill around and be admired (or verbally abused).
I didnt witness him doing anything in character, but I did see him be very polite to some fans and crack some funny comments as himself. I think the impatience at the end is him trying to give as many fans as possible their picture moment to keep, rather than him just trying to get away as ordered, to the premier.
> trying to give as many fans as possible their picture moment to keep I was thinking that as I watched the vid, he didn’t come across as impatient to me at all.
Really good video, thanks guys! And yeah Danny is quite clearly trying to keep the queue of people moving so that they can all get their photo taken. Cos the lady’s asking them to stop and move on but he’s saying nah come on lets get some more quick. Even at one point bringing up the fact that the people have been hanging around waiting. They cast all struck me as very decent and really accomodating and quite sweet actually. Nice video!
With that Doctor Who t-shirt on especially, you look and sound suspiciously like Russell T Davies John!
I’ve only just watched this and it’s great. Brilliant job! John running to get his USB stick has to be the highlight.
I saw very little of those USB sticks. Seems I was supposed to approach the lovelies and… well… ask. Smeg my shyness.
