The Series 1 & 2 opening theme – those remastering bastards lost it!

I remember reading somewhere that when It came to compiling music cues for the DVD’s, Mr Goodall was unable to get the opening theme from series 1 & 2 and had to use a recording from the episode itself.

YET – the remastered opening clearly has used the master copy, as it’s much cleaner and without the ship sound effect in it at the beginning. I spliced the short segment from remastered with the rest of the opening theme from the 1/2 dvd’s, the rock opening theme from the 7 dvd and the ‘This Is Science Fiction’ CD release of the closing theme to make a 3 part ‘Full’ theme. Sounds very nice all put together.

But I was just pondering, did the guys loose It while remastering 1 to 3???
