Holly calls Todhunter Frank when he activated the stasis field in The End. And Hollister is called Frank by that female officer in Back in the Red. (Is Hollister’s first name stated or shown to be Frank in any I or II episode?) January 14, 2019 at 10:55 pm #242502 Quinn: Clochebusters World ChampionParticipant And now you mention that, Rimmer’s got a brother called Frank. I don’t think he is given a first name until series 8. January 14, 2019 at 11:23 pm #242504 MANI506Participant He is given his name in Polymorph and Timeslides. January 14, 2019 at 11:41 pm #242506 Quinn: Clochebusters World ChampionParticipant Frank Rimmer yes. I meant Hollister isn’t given his first name until BitR January 14, 2019 at 11:52 pm #242508 clemParticipant There’s also the washing machine Kryten names Frank in Blue, and Frank who finds baby Lister in the bar in Ouroboros. January 14, 2019 at 11:56 pm #242511 clemParticipant And Frank Saunders in the first novel. January 15, 2019 at 12:01 am #242512 Quinn: Clochebusters World ChampionParticipant Shouldn’t forget to mention Saint Francis of Assisi January 15, 2019 at 1:47 am #242515 curtisParticipant Forget all this Frank stuff, Hollister and Lister both have ‘Lister’ in their name. January 15, 2019 at 1:50 am #242516 WarbodogParticipant And Holly and Hollister both have ‘Holl’ in their name. It’s like The X-Files with all its Williams. January 15, 2019 at 7:13 am #242518 DaveParticipant And Frankenstein, of course. I think we went through all these in the ‘idea for an episode’ thread a while back (Franks For The Memory etc.). January 15, 2019 at 10:45 am #242524 International DebrisParticipant Forget all this Frank stuff, Hollister and Lister both have ‘Lister’ in their name. Hollister. Hol. Lister. The final episode will reveal that Hollister is a combined projection of Holly and Lister, planted on Red Dwarf to ensure that Lister goes to stasis and keeps the human race alive. It’s a blatant clue, isn’t it? January 15, 2019 at 10:53 am #242525 DaveParticipant That’s the final irony, isn’t it? That Lister, the ultimate anti-authoritarian, turns out to be Captain. January 15, 2019 at 4:51 pm #242538 Plastic PercyParticipant I think one of the DVD booklets points out how Frank has had a resurgence in popularity in the future. January 16, 2019 at 12:40 am #242578 flanl3Participant Theory: all the Franks are the same person. You never see them in the same room, do you?
