Have you seen part 2 to form this opinion? Do they go straight into the portal? April 11, 2009 at 1:28 am #95762 PhilParticipant >Do they go straight into the portal? No. Lister talks for five minutes about the tomato he just took a bite out of, and a skutter giggles. April 11, 2009 at 3:00 am #95763 peas_and_cornParticipant I liked the cliffhanger. IF part 2 begins with them being sucked in- well, that will mean that the episode will have an action packed first scene, right? As a contrast to the subdued first scene of part 1? April 11, 2009 at 3:09 am #95764 PhilParticipant I’m hoping for a Hollister video diary. April 11, 2009 at 3:14 am #95765 peas_and_cornParticipant That goes for 5 minutes :D April 11, 2009 at 10:14 am #95778 siParticipant Part 2’s got an allocated running time of thirty five minutes. The extra five minutes is undoubtedly a recap, so what do we get? April 11, 2009 at 10:16 am #95779 Pete Part ThreeParticipant I think 5 minutes to recap that would be a bit of stretch. 2 minutes at the most should be sufficient. April 11, 2009 at 10:18 am #95780 hummingbirdParticipant Would they take a full 5 mins for a recap? Probably 2 at the most. Which gives us an extra 3 mins which will, say, make up for the ad break. April 11, 2009 at 10:57 am #95782 siParticipant Well. I was exaggerating a bit. April 11, 2009 at 11:34 am #95790 Zombie Jim UndeadParticipant The cliffhanger didn’t bother me at all. I believe I let out an audible “GAH!” as I really wanted to see what happened next. So it had its desired effect. April 11, 2009 at 12:04 pm #95796 JonsmadParticipant Yeah. I Gah!ed to. It didnt feel good that it ended abruptly or was finishing. So it was probably a good cliff hanger. I was expecting them to get to earth as the cliff hanger. April 11, 2009 at 12:39 pm #95797 ChrisMParticipant The only thing wrong with the Cliffhanger was the fact it came so soon. Ending in that way, though, whilst abrupt, worked fine. And it’s not as if we need to wait long for the resolution. April 11, 2009 at 1:49 pm #95810 NakrophileParticipant The ‘previously on…’ shouldn’t be any more than a minute and a half tops, really. I mean there really isn’t that much to recap. 9 years later (maybe the grave scene) Dimension-hopping leviathan. Katerina. Threat to Rimmer. Portal. Go. April 11, 2009 at 1:54 pm #95811 Zombie Jim UndeadParticipant I do hope in a way that they address the Series 8 cliffhanger. It could just be in a line of throwaway dialogue… Rimmer: I’m not hopping through that portal like some kind of demented trans-dimensional kangaroo. Lister: Come on, Rimmer. You’ve done it before. Remember when the ship was disolving and you went into the mirror universe to sort it out? That went pretty well. Rimmer: Went well? I ended up choking to death in a blazing inferno. Cat: Yeah, like he said – an afternoon well spent. April 11, 2009 at 1:55 pm #95812 NakrophileParticipant I would want something similar. Although actually I would prefer some clarification as to which Rimmer this is, or even a mention of I-VII Rimmer (which I highly doubt will happen). April 11, 2009 at 1:57 pm #95814 hummingbirdParticipant > I do hope in a way that they address the Series 8 cliffhanger. I think they will, but in the meta-universe, where they’ll address the series IX issue, too. April 11, 2009 at 2:34 pm #95821 PhilParticipant Rimmer: I?m not hopping through that portal like some kind of demented trans-dimensional kangaroo. Lister: Come on, Rimmer. You?ve done it before. Remember when the ship was disolving and you went into the mirror universe to sort it out? That went pretty well. Of the two million people turning in, that would make seven of them very happy. April 11, 2009 at 4:02 pm #95834 siParticipant Okay then – ‘Previously…’: Pre-credits?
