I just wanna know, exactly how good is this show? It’s a bit like what someone or other said about the Velvet Underground – not many people bought their records, but every single one who did, formed a band. Though it was John eloquently saying ‘But It, You Fuckers, Buy It, Buy It Now’ which is what sold it for me, really. September 4, 2008 at 1:35 pm #83991 Tanya JonesParticipant You should love it, although we think the third series is possibly funnier than the first two. There’s so many good characters, that even if you’re not keen on one of them, another will be along in a minute. I had loads of episodes taped off tv from the 90’s that i lost and i was devastated… Frank Hovis used to have me in stitches and of course Calham Gilhooley the most boring man alive!!!.. I will buy this dvd if i have to sell a kidney!.. September 4, 2008 at 10:12 pm #83997 John HoareParticipant I?ve just seen a clip of the job interview on the ?net, it?s brilliant. Tanya’s got a job interview next week, and just showed me the presentation she’s prepared for it. I spent the entire time quoting Jack Docherty’s character from that sketch. September 4, 2008 at 10:19 pm #83999 Seb PatrickKeymaster I’ve just watched the Stoneybridge Olympics sketch for the first time. Impact possibly dulled by hearing Capps and Symes shout “Stoneybridge!” on numerous occasions, but still very funny. “All roads lead to Rome… apart from the B7192!” September 7, 2008 at 8:27 pm #84113 Ben KirkhamParticipant “…which leads to STONEYBRIDGE!” My dad always remembers that bit. Have watched most of series 1 now. I love it. Imaginative, colourful, unpretentious, joyous fun! A favourite so far, off the top of my head, the hospital sketch with John Sparkes, Morwenna Banks and “the foot.” I’m paraphrasing. Banks: He was quite keen on body building. Sparkes: Well that’ll certainly come in useful now. The first Callum Gilhooley sketch is brilliant. It’s just Hunter and Docherty at their best. Docherty’s talking to camera has me in hysterics. I could talk about this for hours it’s so good. But I won’t, because I don’t want this to become an Amazon review.
