This is fantastic news! Now to celebrate the traditional way, by combining the first 4:3 and 16:9 images I get on the home page.

I never would have noticed on my own, because I disliked the asymmetry enough that I just stopped using the Smega-Drive to combine GIFs with different aspect ratios…

I was complaining out loud to my friend that the GIF will probably turn out badly and then it was perfect.

My prize is that I grew up with the SEGA Dreamcast.

Just put a second line of periods after the dialogue and then let EZGif crop the 4:3 down and you’re golden.

Thanks for telling me because I would’ve dumped the GIFs into my VFX editor, done it manually and then converted the results back to a GIF (or started with the original video clips).

Which to be fair I could do to involve more complex manipulations.

I would be embarrassed to admit how many times I have gone through a GIF frame-by-frame to steady the shot by lining each frame up with the last so that a transition works better.

Fucking hell. It has just this second occurred to me that Lister is talking about using the massive whips to whip slaves. I have spent the last 32 years thinking he meant they used massive whips to somehow move the stones around.
