All of Team G&T are in London except for Danny, so there’s a start. October 13, 2009 at 6:24 pm #104610 redhead85Participant We went to a pub in London Bridge last time which seemed to suit as we were all eastenders ^__^ Twas called The Southwark Tavern – we reserved a cell downstairs. Was good fun October 13, 2009 at 6:28 pm #104612 hummingbirdParticipant I’d love to meet up again, but I’m not in London either. Still, if you could arrange it for a weekend and someone would let me kip on their sofa …. October 13, 2009 at 6:32 pm #104613 Tarka DalParticipant Sheffield, has no particular relevance to Red Dwarf at all of course. However it’s where myself and Si mong about and I’ve plenty of room. It’s sort of like a Birmingham for the north. October 13, 2009 at 6:33 pm #104614 redhead85Participant Weekends before Christmas might be difficult for me but you’re more than welcome to kip in our spare room if we organise a weekend in Jan or something October 13, 2009 at 7:06 pm #104617 hummingbirdParticipant Thanks, hun. That would be lovely. I’ve room for a couple of people on the Wirral. Handy for Liverpool – we could have a few drinks at the pub formerly known as the Aigburth Arms. October 13, 2009 at 7:18 pm #104620 AndrewParticipant Anyone else having Marleen’s avatar image come up as unloadable? October 13, 2009 at 7:33 pm #104621 ori-STUDFARMParticipant Yes, unloadable on mine too. My opinion of the schedule changes over the weekend (for what they’re worth!) Loved them. I’d accidently booked a train ticket a couple of hours too early and would have missed Chloe’s appearance. Her early arrival on stage was such a relief. When I read that Craig, Danny and Chloe would all be on in the morning, I was so relieved! Other changes were fine. I easily spotted changes, the update boards were clearly displayed. Only worry I had was when Hattie didn’t do her signing and we knew she had to leave Saturday. What a trooper to return the way she did! I think I love Hattie! October 13, 2009 at 7:33 pm #104622 TheLeenParticipant It’s broken. I’ll replace it. Tomorrow. October 13, 2009 at 7:49 pm #104623 Seb PatrickKeymaster >I?ve room for a couple of people on the Wirral. “The Wirral”? Tut tut. I’ve heard pedantic sorts say it’s either just “Wirral” or “the Wirral peninsula” ;-) (hence the excellent Half Man Half Biscuit lyric : I didn’t take much time convincin’ her / Baby, I’m from the Wirral Peninsula) I’m from Crosby, by the way, and will be back there for a bit over Christmas. So if any northerners did fancy an Aigburth Arms trip, it might be possible to swing. Even though venturing anywhere south of Town scares me. October 13, 2009 at 7:59 pm #104624 hummingbirdParticipant Sounds good. Give me a shout when you’re in town. > I?ve heard pedantic sorts say …. ?the Wirral peninsula? That’s the same people who claim it’s in Cheshire. October 13, 2009 at 8:06 pm #104625 TheLeenParticipant The Coventry. It had to be said. Again. Hummingbird, check your email… October 13, 2009 at 8:23 pm #104626 Tarka DalParticipant > So if any northerners did fancy an Aigburth Arms trip, Actually me and Dangerman talked about doing another Aigburth meet. Curtis the friendly neighbourhood Ray Fiennes lookalike would probably tag along too. October 13, 2009 at 8:31 pm #104629 DaveParticipant >would be nice to have a larger London gathering to meet more new RD peeps Sounds good to me October 13, 2009 at 8:32 pm #104630 JoParticipant >The Coventry As you can see it was quite a small event. October 13, 2009 at 9:19 pm #104631 Ian SymesKeymaster A shame it was the last one. October 13, 2009 at 10:43 pm #104644 Tarka DalParticipant ? October 13, 2009 at 10:48 pm #104645 siParticipant Sheffield, has no particular relevance to Red Dwarf at all of course. However it?s where myself and Si mong about and I?ve plenty of room. It?s sort of like a Birmingham for the north. Me like. October 13, 2009 at 10:52 pm #104646 Danny StephensonKeymaster Karl: ? Please refer to your DJXV booklet for further details… October 13, 2009 at 11:24 pm #104652 Tarka DalParticipant Ah which idiot wrote that then? October 14, 2009 at 3:44 am #104662 AnonymousInactive Maybe, just maybe, one day I’ll actually have the opportunity to go to one of these things. Sounds awesome, and I’ll avidly feed off your experiences. Keep them coming. October 14, 2009 at 9:24 am #104669 Joey TORDFCParticipant >> So if any northerners did fancy an Aigburth Arms trip, >Actually me and Dangerman talked about doing another Aigburth meet. Curtis the friendly neighbourhood Ray Fiennes lookalike would probably tag along too. Count me in faw shaw. October 14, 2009 at 9:54 am #104671 TrenaParticipant Can I join in? I live in Manchester and I wore a funny t-shirt at the convention. October 14, 2009 at 10:31 am #104677 GwynnieParticipant I live in Manchester too. We have Curtis Threadgold and Matt (can’t spell his surname off the top of my head) and probably lots more. You can all come to my birthday piss-up in December too! And re: next DJ, yeah, I will be in Japan for a year teaching English! Which will be awesome but missing DJ will make me very sad. I promise to make up for it at the one after that!! October 14, 2009 at 11:01 am #104681 TrenaParticipant I think I’ll dress up as a solo Sensational Reverse Brother for the 2010 convention. Rimmer Reverse, Kryten Reverse and me… Treppo Reverse. October 14, 2009 at 11:32 pm #104745 CarlitoParticipant So you’d be the Sensational Reverse Only-Child? October 14, 2009 at 11:40 pm #104746 TrenaParticipant Thereabouts, or I could dress up as an almagamation of every character Tony Hawks has played. Should be interesting to choose which part of my body adorns Caligulas toga. October 15, 2009 at 6:14 am #104753 hummingbirdParticipant I’m more concerned about which part gets to be the vending machine. October 15, 2009 at 8:52 am #104758 DaveParticipant >So you?d be the Sensational Reverse Only-Child? dlihc-ylno esrever lanoitasnes eht October 15, 2009 at 9:26 am #104759 TrenaParticipant > I?m more concerned about which part gets to be the vending machine. It will involve being given a refund and asked never to return to the Holiday Inn Birmingham ever again. October 16, 2009 at 2:51 am #104797 Ben PaddonParticipant So according to the Facebook invite I just got, DJ XVI will coincide with the San Diego Comic-Con. That’s pretty silly. I don’t care if they’re in different countries, that’s still bloody madness. October 16, 2009 at 8:01 am #104804 Jonathan CappsKeymaster Is it ‘madness ‘because you’re likely to be the only person affected by this clash? October 16, 2009 at 8:02 am #104805 Seb PatrickKeymaster Dammit, I was hoping to go to SDCC next year, as well. Still, though, “bloody madness”? Bit harsh. I can’t imagine there’s a MASSIVE crossover of people who’d go to both (what with them being on different sides of the Atlantic, and all). October 16, 2009 at 8:21 am #104808 Ben PaddonParticipant It’s madness for me. I make money off of one, so I know what my choice will be. A shame really as I was planning to go to DJ next year. October 16, 2009 at 8:43 am #104809 Seb PatrickKeymaster No offence, though, Ben, but DJ isn’t structured around you. It’s annoying for you, but it’s not “bloody madness” for TORDFC to pick an available date in the summer that happens to clash with things that people in another country might be doing. October 16, 2009 at 8:46 am #104811 redhead85Participant THIS IS SPARTA! Sorry, couldn’t resist adding to ‘the drama’. October 16, 2009 at 9:40 am #104815 Danny StephensonKeymaster October 16, 2009 at 9:53 am #104816 TheLeenParticipant LOL October 16, 2009 at 10:14 am #104821 GwynnieParticipant I can’t go so… as long as DJXVII isn’t also while I’m in Japan, ie before March 2010, it’l be OK! I can’t see them being that condensed, but hey. October 16, 2009 at 12:42 pm #104842 Seb PatrickKeymaster October 16, 2009 at 2:17 pm #104852 redhead85Participant The PG version of 300 for those of you with weak dispositions. Mind you, not sure if they exist here on G&T… October 16, 2009 at 4:00 pm #104858 hummingbirdParticipant > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKkYdKhtRbY Much love. October 17, 2009 at 12:30 am #104899 JoParticipant >I can?t go so? as long as DJXVII isn?t also while I?m in Japan, ie before March 2010, it?l be OK! I can?t see them being that condensed, but hey. I assume you mean March 2011? But yeah, it won’t be that soon after DJXVI, I can assure you! It’ll most likely be at least 12 months between DJXVI and DJXVII. October 17, 2009 at 12:43 am #104904 CarlitoParticipant The demand will be high. There will likely have been a brand new series of Red Dwarf aired between Dimension Jump XVI and XVII. Just realised how nice it is to write those words. October 17, 2009 at 2:23 pm #104924 Ben PaddonParticipant I submit to you that Dimension Jump should be structured around me. In fact with the addition of a single word at the end it could quite happily become a convention about my webcomic. October 17, 2009 at 6:10 pm #104943 TrenaParticipant I thought four words had to be added to the end of the event name. …off a cliff, Benny. October 17, 2009 at 7:02 pm #104946 RidleyParticipant In fact with the addition of a single word at the end it could quite happily become a convention about my webcomic. With blackjack! And hookers! October 17, 2009 at 7:14 pm #104948 Danny StephensonKeymaster In fact, forget the blackjack. October 17, 2009 at 7:17 pm #104949 redhead85Participant Ah screw the whole thing Author Replies Viewing 50 replies - 51 through 100 (of 103 total) 1 2 3 Scroll to top • Scroll to Recent Forum Posts You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
