There’s often heated conversation, sometimes it spills into dispute. There’s right and wrong on both sides.

But nevertheless, in my estimation we’re all a bunch of decent, intelligent people with an excellent (and sometimes varied) taste in comedy.

I love Ganymede and Titan, it gets me through long long days at work and I love you guys.

Plus there’s new Red Dwarf on the way. Who would have ever thunked that?!

It’s a bit of a combination. The text in all three Grant/Naylor script books came from the writers’ original files, but the scripts are reformatted for print. Certainly spellings/typos were corrected, but I also seem to remember some ‘as broadcast’ adjustments were made…

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the Marooned script is missing the poker opening that was not only written, but also shot. I forget how it presents the end of Dimension Jump, but it may be the same deal. Yet the stage directions are as-written and there are plenty of cut lines – so it’s a bit of both. (As is the VIII book, in fact.)

Son of Soup definitely isn’t transcripts – it has cut material in, far more than Primordial Soup. The best example of this is some Me² stuff that was never even filmed.

Having said that, there’s no guarantee that the scripts are the scripts as-written – I seem to recall there’s some alterations made. Can’t remember what, though!
