I should clarify that my interest is more in the uniform aspect ;-) and all the ladies in this are well over 16, infact I think they are all over 20.

I will go and see this, as it’ll support Ealing Studios which, in turn, supports The Model Unit. Also: uniforms.

Does it? I thought they just rented space there?

Which is to say – did buying a ticket to Batman Begins support GNP?

Go see Atonement to suport the model unit. Sure, it’s only one shot – but what a bloody superb shot.

Well, yes, I should’ve said “I will go and see this, as it?ll support Ealing Studios’ new film which, in turn, supports The Model Unit. Also: uniforms.” because according to their credits, they worked on St Trinian’s as well as Atonement.

    > Which is to say – did buying a ticket to Batman Begins support GNP?

I don’t know, did GNP provide services for any films coming out of Shepperton? Not really much of a comparison :P

Woo-hoo! This is the beard I needed to see the film!

My apologies. I didn’t know. You hear me? I DIDN’T KNOW!

    > My apologies. I didn?t know. You hear me? I DIDN?T KNOW!

Well, to be fair, I was originally working on the assumption of a much closer tie to Ealing Studios and The Model Unit than just space rental, so I was wrong there.

No idea what this is, but based on the picture, from left to right:

Positively yes, nah, absolutely never, yes, yes

A legitimate excuse to see the film for business reasons, rather than being a fat old perv.

    Y’know, like a beard, a gay man’s only-for-show wife. It’s like…slang or something.

Well, I’m watching it for to see how it compares to the old films and also the quote they use in the trailer was brilliant…”We only needed to blow the bloody doors off!” hehe! I like that they are to have this type of tributes to other films in it.

I think it looks like a pile of unadulterated wank, and I’ve always found something deeply uncomfortable about the whole St Trinians idea anyway. Plus it’s got that incredibly annoying twat off 2 Pints of Lager and “Love & Monsters” in it.

But, Seb, I think that’s the point of the film. It’s not trying to be anything clever.

At least it looks better than the new Alvin and the Chipmunks movie.

I thought it was just an amusing, throwaway leap of logic, saying that his wife mean about as much to him as having a goatee. I guess we’re not all as up-to-speed on gay slang as you are, Andrew.

The funniest thing about the ‘beard’ line is that no-one batted an eyelid because it was the god Moffat that penned the scene. If it was RTD everyone would have been like ‘OMFG Russell can’t even last 5 minutes without the gay agenda rearing it’s head!’

The Model Unit did indeed do a bit of work for St. Tinians, look for the bust of Alastair Sim. A nice nod to the old films.

I’m a big fan of the books by Ronald Searle (as wel as the molesworth books cheers cheers cheers). And even more a fan of… No, my girlfriend might read this.

I work in Burbank, California, where most of the studios are. You would not believe the number of people I know who are actually embarrassed by the mere existence of the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie.

And yes, they were taller. They also weren’t rappers, and didn’t eat their own fecal matter. Unless there’s an episode I missed.

I did but then I first learned the term when looking up the Queen of Spain’s Beard episode of Blackadder/The Black Adder.
